[personality] For all that Aidou has the intelligence of a genius, he's pretty straight forward. Raised as an aristocrat, he had always considered himself better then anyone else and consequently tended to be moody, selfish, and generally a brat. It wasn't until Kaname came along that Aidou started thinking differently because Kaname didn't exactly bow down to his superiority and unabashedly apologized and admitted his mistakes (even if Aidou was really the one at fault). Thus began a lifelong obsession with all things Kaname because, really, his biggest wish was to be Kaname's friend and someone that could be relied on.
He does get out of hand though from time to time which forces Kaname to punish him, but Aidou doesn't mind. Not when it means that Kaname's been paying attention to him. He would prefer praises though (even if he doesn't deserve them). And if Kaname isn't around to punish him, Aidou does a fair hand of beating himself up instead. Particularly when it has to do with Yuuki. His patience can only go so far for her ignorance and lack of social graces and charisma!
But that's only one side of him. The devoted, selfless, painstakingly loyal side of Aidou. The other side is the side most of the world sees. His nickname in school was "Idol" partly because of his name, but partly because his beauty and demeanor just screamed polished superstar. He takes great care to get his full night's rest and rise up 'early' to fix his hair and make it perfect. He shines with an inner glow, smooth talking the girls into giving up their blood types. He's surly when interrupted but he does it with such ease and practiced skill that it's more adorably pouty then off-putting.
He's used to big families and so doesn't mind a bit of noise, but he does like his quiet time too. He pretends not to like reading manga, but he still does just to please his friends. He dislikes being awake during the day if he can help it. Being out in the sun for a vampire is more draining, although not impossible. He does have a temper though and a bit of a mean streak within him. He's always quick to defend Kaname and takes every chance possible to make things difficult for Yuuki. At least, that is, before he found out Yuuki was a pureblood vampire herself.
And… he knows how to keep things to himself. Being a genius, unfortunately, means he puts the pieces together far more quickly then the average person and so, sometimes, he ends up with a stock of secrets sitting at the back of his mind. Perhaps that's also why he's learned how to charm his way around people, making them smile and forget things for a while. Anything to keep them from thinking to much or revealing more then they should. The more frivolous the conversation is, the less likely they are to dwell on what they shouldn't be dwelling on.
And he loves sweets. It's a weakness of his although he tends to indulge in the craving out in the human world rather then amongst his peers. Having to share would diminish a little of that joy, especially if he has to worry about appearances and social etiquette.
So, there's Aidou the loyal follower and (self-imposed) devoted servant to the Kuran family, and there's Aidou the Idol who is loved by all and yet friends with none. The one who can't do anything for himself and yet he's always able to talk his way out of things (or into them). Aidou, in short, is simply a man who loves fully when he can and protects what he loves. You can't really get much simpler then that.

[appearance] Aidou is canonically a vampire and as such, tends to be more handsome/sparkly (but not twilight sparkly) to the average eye then most humans. His vampire teeth are present but hidden unless feeding. He looks his age.

Abilities:
- He can smell and identify the honor of someone's blood from roughly a half mile away.
- As a vampire aristocrat, he can seal/block someone's memories (usually only of the immediate past).
- He has the ability to freeze things so long as they have moisture. This includes creating ice icicles out of thin air assuming there's a proficient amount of moisture around him.
- He's classed as a super genius with many patents attributed to his name.
- As a vampire, it is possible that at times, he'll be able to 'see' fragments of memories from his victims while he's feeding. Canon implies this actual perception of other's memories is fairly common if done vampire to vampire.
Nerfing Aidou's abilities: On nerfing/limiting Aidou's ability to freeze things, I would suggest restricting it to items he can physically touch. From my understanding, the other items listed above have been reduced to immediate proximity (re: blood) or banned from the game (re: sealing memories and viewing memories). They're mentioned above merely for completeness sake.

Aidou stared in horror at his new house. The gaudy decorations, the overuse of black and red along the interior walls, the smell of fake blood in every corner of the room. This… This is where they had put the great Aidou! No, he wouldn't stand for this. This wasn't a house of vampires. It was a house of imposters!
Walking swiftly to the window, he pulled back the heavy drapes and winced at the sunlight peaking in through the window. At least there was sun shining in this den of horrors even though the fakeness of it all only increased with every beam of light shining into the room. Putting a hand on his hips, Aidou searched the corner of the room and turned on the hauteur and sparkle.
"All right, everyone! I want this place cleaned up. If you're going to have me working here, I want fresh paint on the walls, carpet under my feet, a mirror and above all, real wine!"
Aidou tapped his foot, and waited for someone to answer his call for redecorating. Even with his relative newness to the business, his obvious superiorness dictated that he be answered quickly and diligently. He wasn't used to being ignored.

[If ever there was a horrifying sight to be seen, it was the state of Aidou's room when he turned on the video function. Rubbing a hand down his face, Aidou glanced at the clock before looking back to the video. It was late in the morning and he was just finishing up his work. Vampires, after all, only came out after dark.]
I demand a new room. This one isn't cleaning itself at all like it's supposed too! [Yeah, that's right. Aidou's never realized that the servants have been cleaning his room for him all this time. Aidou was having a really tough week.]

Did she like the way he yanked on her hair, bending her head back so he could press soft kisses to her throat? He tried to count how often she moaned and when she dug her nails into his back. Aidou groaned as his thoughts turned to mush when his partner surprised rolled him on his back, leaning down to bite the hollow between his neck and shoulder. No one should do that, ever, but without the edge of teeth piercing into his flesh, Aidou found it incredibly erotic and annoying. Pushing back against her, Aidou rolled, switching positions yet again while he forgot he was supposed to make love to his patron, not wrestle with her. But Aidou would be damned if he gave up his pride!
