standing on pomp and circumstance
I haven't been sleeping well.
Either it's at odd times, for odd hours or in odd increments (as in, I can't stay asleep for longer than about four hours at a time), but it's not my usual stream of unconsciousness. As a result, I'm not nearly as rested as I planned to be come Thursday.
Nor am I as caught up in homework (LOL LIKE THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN) as I'd planned hoped to be. That could be in part due to hanging out with Lauren and her family these past few days. It was nice, and free, but they took up more time than I had planned.
Watched Obama's address. I have one thing to say. NANCY PELOSI STOP FUCKING STANDING UP. God, he could barely get through a sentence, let alone a paragraph before people stood up to give standing ovations to what he was saying. I'm all for enthusiasm. That's great. I'm glad they like it. Republicans even got up and cheered. I'm glad. But I also would like to hear him speak with no interruptions, and not just State of the Union. Like, a speech, with no audience interference. Fireside Chats would be SO BRILL.
Then when that was over and I got no SVU, I flipped until I got to college basketball on FSN, and apparently we're hosting Florida tonight in the PMAC.

Love seeing LSU kick some ass in there. I coulda/shoulda/woulda been there, but oh well. Nice to see the last few minutes.
Then a cracktastic conversation with Liz over many things, most of them consisting of writing that I'm sure she'd get done a lot faster if I wasn't distracting her.
