Never, EVER is this a good idea

Don't EVER start re-vamping your sorely neglected fic journal at 3:30 in the morning.

You will be up for hours waffling between layouts from thefulcrum  because one of them gives false advertising about the size of it's font, which seems too tiny to be comfortably read, and the other doesn't show off your shiny mood theme that you spent an hour getting right. Then you'll be mad because you like them both but neither lived up to your exact expectations, and maybe there's other layouts hidden 40 or 60 entries back that would suit even better.

You'll also likely spend time cross-posting an old fic you found and polished up around 4:00AM and posted at 5:00AM, organizing your tags and jumping back and forth between fic and personal journal accounts to post/spam flists so that the fic journal gets some publicity. (And the reason you're having to jump back to your personal journal is because your fic journal isn't friends/members of any of the important fic communities you need access to.)

And now my father is home from his night shift job.

Excuse me. I'm going to bed.

But before I go, I might as well advertise here, too.

Title: Four Times Martha Jones Almost Died (And One Time The Doctor Was Glad Jack Had A Vortex Manipulator)
Author: substitute_ego , also known as lowbatterie
Pairing: Gen, Martha/lots, if you squint
Spoilers: Lots, crossovers with several DW spinoffs. (Specifics below the cut.)
Summary: Martha Jones does a lot of living; consequently, there's a lot of almost dying going on.
Disclaimer: Ha. Very funny. Stop teasing me.
Author’s Note: Series of drabbles -although strictly speaking, they’re vignettes, but I don’t like that word because I always have to think too hard about how to spell it and say it- involving one Martha Jones. And a variety of other characters we know and love. Exactly 2000 word total, which was fun to write.

( Fake cut to my fic journal! )

[/shameless self promotion]

Now I'm going to bed.
