So, haven't been updating the running log. Got lazy, lost track of my times even though I was keeping track of timing myself on my watch. Here's what I've got, which is miraculously only missing what I ate each day (yeah, the food diary bit the dust). Theoretically, I'll keep it up better in the future. Meanwhile, I've been doing this for three weeks now! Nuts. Also, I need a running icon. :frown:

>>Tomorrow's Run: Off
Like I said above, feeling mostly good each day. Totaled only 11 miles last week, since I had to skip a day due to the cold-induced fever. Legs not complaining. My feet do while I'm running just a bit, but nothing I can't push through/ignore/get back in the zone about. I might've caused a little blister on the side of the ball of my foot on my left foot today with a rogue fold in my sock. Wore the Nike shoes today, which I don't like as much as the New Balances.
A bit more chafing today (and Saturday), threatening to become something bad. I think it's from the shorts I wear while sweating my ass off working at the pool. They just don't breathe and it's hell on my inner thighs.
Other thing I've noticed is I need water during my runs. I assume during the race there'll be stations of water/powerade where I can grab-and-go, but I don't know how to supply myself during these runs. I don't want to stop to go back home, or diverge from my route since I plan them out to be the right distance. I was thinking camel back or just running with one in my hand? It's especially a problem on the longer runs, since I get sweaty all over and even when I lick my lips they're salty-- only increasing my desire for water.
I'll also have to solve the key dilemma the next time around I go to Memorial Park; Mom had them in her pocket today, which worked out well, but I'll need an alternative plan for either being alone or with a friend when I don't drive/we're not around my house/their house.
In other news, I'm getting glasses! Went to the eye doctor today for the first time in years and discovered that I'm a bit near-sighted. It's mostly a pair just to clear things up for distance like in a huge classroom or night driving, although I hadn't noticed an issue with the latter. I'll get them on Wednesday. Frames are JLO brand, though that's not why I chose them. Mom picked them out, actually, but they were cute and flattering enough, I suppose.
More updates: I've been demolishing books at an alarming pace. I'm up to 13, and I've got two in progress, plus an audiobook, an armful I got from the library last week and a stack of "to-re-read" that belong to me so I can catch up on a series that's finally finished.
12 / 70 books. 17% done!
