Running Diary; Days 4-7

Day 4:

Distance: 1.5 miles
- jogged, walked once for about 2 minutes
- 16:22 minutes
- t-shirt, Nike shorts, thin socks, sports bra, poncho
- New Balance Maroon Out

Weather:
- 84 degrees, 74% humidity
- Raining, sun mostly set

~ @ 8:15pm

+1/2 caesar chicken wrap +fries (Chick-fil-A) +1 lemonade
+1 glass Hawaiian Punch +1/2 sliced tomato + small serving fried rice w/ gravy +1 chicken wing (Timmy Chan's)
+1 prepackaged apple pie

Running in the rain was glorious. Fun, refreshing, felt like a shower. No one outside, and I managed to beat the thunder. The shoes felt good on my feet too, despite the wetness. Felt a little slippage here and there on the concrete, but mostly really good traction.

Day 5:

+1/2 caesar chicken wrap +1 pickle +1/2 serving pasta salad +1 glass Hawaiian Punch
+3 servings pasta (w/ marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese)
+Flamin' Hot Cheetos (small) +1 mini cinnamon roll

Having a day off totally spoiled me. Felt a little weird not having to run.

Day 6:

Distance: 4 miles
- jogged most of the first 3 miles, walked almost entirety of last mile
- About 45 minutes (about 32 miles for first three)
- t-shirt, Adidas shorts, thin socks, sports bra
- New Balance Maroon Out

Weather:
- 90-95 degrees, 80% humidity
- Dry, really frickin' hot, pretty much totally sunny

+1 ice cream bar +sausage on a stick +1 fudge ice cream bar +1/2 serving baked potato
+1 Sprite +1 junior Whopper +fries (small)
+2 chocolate chip Chewy bars +Flamin' Hot Cheetos (small)

I was doing great until the fourth mile. It fucking slaughtered me. I made it back to Chimney Rock (went from Hilcroft to S. Rice and back again on the Bayou route) and then died on the side of the road. Jesus fuck, it got so hot, and there was no shade, and I had no water. It was really rough. First and last time I run in the heat like that. Also my longest run to date, so hopefully I can improve on the disaster that was this Saturday trial-run.

Day 7:

+green beans +yams +spinach +squash +mac n cheese +1/2 large chicken breast +3 rolls +steamed white rice
+6 Oreos +milk +small serving ice cream w/ chocolate syrup
+2 Flamin' Hot Cheetos (small)

Another day off, which was great. Had a home-cooked full Thanksgiving-type meal at my aunt's with some family, which was great. Again, spoiled a little bit, itching to run a little bit too.
