I may or may not have mentioned I signed up for a half marathon. It was suggested that I keep a diary to catalog my running experiences. Everything from the conditions I run in, to the shoes and clothes I wear, to the injuries I sustain. I'm also going to throw in a little emotional check into the mix, as well as what I eat each day. The idea is to give me a sense of what works, what doesn't, and how to better prepare in the future for the same conditions. 19 weeks of scheduled running, culminating in a half-marathon in New Orleans on October 30th of this year. Close to five months(ish) of prep-work. Wish me luck!

I can't remember much about day 1's post-run body 'temp', as in aches and/or pains, but today the balls of my feet were feeling kinda sore, my thighs were hurting a bit. Right this second my neck hurts, the muscle beneath my ear on the left side of my throat, especially when I try to stretch it. Ah, well. Work in the morning, we'll see if I feel like swimming at all while I'm there.
