Realizing how much writing work I've abandoned

May 27, 2009 23:14

And I feel terrible now.

I really need to get back in the habit of writing every day anyway, if I ever plan on finishing Kids of Eden, not to mention Gypsy, not to mention bridging the two, not to mention maybe becoming a novelist one day??AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I'm just thinking about the stories languishing away in the pit of voles that I will probably (read: definitely) never finish, a bunch of stuff on O'Halloran's hard drive that I transferred from the home computer and then proceeded to never touch in the entire 9 months I've had him/it/them available to write on and expand.
Gah. My life needs to be less consumed by work. And angst. And WOE. Bah. Now I'm just waxing emo about nothing. *sigh*
In less rambling emotional news, I'm back on O'Halloran. Although for a limited engagement, seeing as my house is lacking both in convenient plugs near the couch/extension cords.

In TV news, I think my vices this summer are going to be Voyager DVDs and The Nanny DVDs. I blame Nick At Nite for reminding me just how much I love Fran Drescher. It's absurd. (Like all of my obsessions, but this was one of -if not the- very first.) BUT OH MY JESUS WHY ARE DVDS SO EXPENSIVE. I mean, comparatively, $260 bucks isn't all that bad, considering I'd be getting 7 seasons of Voyager, but goddamn. That's a lot of money in one place. *blatantly ignoring the top shelf of her bookshelf that's crammed to the gills with movies and other box sets that many a pretty penny have been spent on*

Guarded a small children party today and closed up in the indoor pool -- the latter becoming more habit and less hellish as I am settling into the role/am certified for CPR again. (Whew.) Also settled my stuff at the bank, and ended up with online banking and a free checking account while I was at it. *shrug* Okay. The only thing now is I'll have two debit cards to keep up with. Anxiety. I has it.

Random note to end on: I need more/new usperics. (Like this is news. [/sarcasm])
