Soundtrack of my life; raindrops and Fall Out Boy

Things that made today good:

Lunch at Le Madeline. Then some wandering about the Village with Amalie.

Finding THIS at ontd_startrek. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY. :D I am severely tempted to do them for the whole crew. Will get back to you if I do.

Reading almost the entirety (minus the first 30 pages or so) of I Am The Messenger, by Markus Zusak. (Remember The Book Thief?)

Uncensored stand up comedy on Comedy Central.

And seeing a pretty young and pretty pretty John Barrowman in a positively terrible Sci-fi Original (I'm guessing) movie about giant, prehistoric sharks that can eat a man on a jet-ski in one gulp and are attracted to electricity. No, I'm serious. And when they blow the thing up at the end? Yeah, it totally survives.

Not going to work today. At all.

Napping in the middle of the day because I can.

Remembering why I love Houston so much: I'm on the phone with Amalie, who lives roughly 15 minutes away from me. As we're talking, I ask, "Is it raining outside?" Her: "No, it's bright and sunny." Me: *rolls over and checks out the window -- where it is pouring down rain* "It's pouring here." Her: "Seriously? It's completely dry here." Me: "I love Houston." Only here can it be dry as a bone in one neighborhood and raining like no tomorrow (for a maximum of 20 minutes) in another.

Boo, I have work tomorrow. D:

good day, links, voyager, got that houston pride, books, the temperature's temperament, stand up comedy
