soooo today we have spent 8 months building our relationship and learning about each other...working, schooling, house buying...other people are still waiting for our demise...ready to spring into action with a barrage of i told you so's and that's what you get for moving so fast. pointing their finger with the repetition of an action figure with that awkward karate chop feature. let them wait. let them waste their time waiting to point at us because they are so unhappy with their lives they have nothing better to do than stare at ours...examine our development and criticize our triumphs...they are so busy staring at us that they miss their own triumphs...we are busy building our lives. people come and go because they do not know how to handle our optimistic outlook. they are looking for someone to wallow in misery with and we have chosen to wallow in happiness. of course no one actually says..hey i need some miserable company, but you can tell. sure we have large bills and a little money, chatty families, and dont live in a utopia but fuck complaining about it...worrying...
who wants to be around people who cry because they are choking on the silver spook lodged in their throat? who wants to hear the muffled complaints of no one cares about me from the person who gives themselves away to anyone who will take them? who wants to be around jealousy that lurks to find a way to come between us? i am glad we choose and chose each other over all of that...there is nothing more important to me than our relationship. everything else after that will fall into place. here is to our time together...to our accomplishments and failures...our choices...inspiring influences...and making a difference in the world together.
