I went on an exploration of American University yesterday in DC. I had no thoughts about it and no real expectations and no knowledge except that it was an interesting liberal arts school that still had a good sounding theater department.

And in the end I fell in love with the new art school and the location.
Georgetown is so cute. There are tons and tons and TONS of little old intricate houses that you could walk by endlessly without getting bored at all. Also the college reminds me of the rest of DC, which is grand yes but also interesting and reminds me strangely perhaps of Montreal, which I love.

so for your curiosity:

The awesome art building!!!

I liked these steps

It was like a museum with tons of awesome classrooms. One was like a mini theater with a piano, and another was full of sculptures and had huge windows. Every room has big windows. The music, theater, and art departments are all in this building. It's quite spectacular. I didn't get to really see the blackbox or the music rooms... but what I did see was amazing.

The lighting for the arts building was designed by the same person who designed the lighting in the Louvre.

These trees were so beautiful.

hehe...

This other theater is actually in the town. We snuck in.

It was kind of a gross day, and we were going by pretty fast, but Georgetown looked really neat.

the cathedral is really close by

Airplanes are more abundant than birds in DC

That's all for now. It was neat... I'll consider American University. What a cool art building!
