Kaden's 1st Birthday
Well, Kaden's first birthday was a blast! We got up around 9:30ish and I gave him big birthday kisses hehe. Around 10:30 or so, me and my mom started to get things together. We brought out Jamie's ping pong table which we used as the table because it's big. Boy, was that fun. That thing is so heavy, we ended up rolling and sliding it up the hill to the backyard lol. We got the table cloth on it and stuff and then we went on to blow up the balloons. My mom got a helium tank like she does for Brianna's birthday. She had bought Kaden a bouqet of balloons on Ebay with a big 1 balloon and 4 other smaller ones, so we blew those up first to make sure they were done.
At like 2ish, my friend Amber, her bf, and her son showed up. She lives in Phoenix and came up for his party hehe. And then around 3, everyone else started coming. The party was a lot of fun. My mom grilled burgers and hot dogs and there was corn on the cob, chips, fruit salad, etc. It was yummy. One of the people who was there had to leave early, so she wanted us to open her gift before she left. So after we opened that one, people kept bringing us more so we decided to just open all the gifts lol. He got so much nice stuff! He got tons of peek-a-blocks with the giraffe and dump truck (from me), my friend Amber got him the hippo walker/ride on thing. It's so cute hehe. We were playing with it making it eat the blocks lol. My mom and my sister got him this activity learning cube. Kind of like the ones in doctor's offices, but smaller. He likes it a lot. He also got a Diamondbacks outfit with a cap, shorts, pjs, bathtub crayons, a bug thing where all the bugs link together, this annoying dog that barks and vibrates lol, and a happy birthday Ty beanie bear (also from me.) I'd say he made out pretty well hehe. And then Jamie and Stephanie got him presents, but they're kinda more for me lol. One is a picture frame that spells out "Baby" and you put the pictures in the letters and the other is a scrapbook with lots of stuff to start out with. Jamie is supposed to teach me how to scrapbook since she got it.
Then it was time for cake. We sang happy birthday and at first, he kinda just dipped his finger in the cake. Then..i'm not sure if he was afraid to touch it at first or what but he decided to eat it just with his mouth lol. It was so cute. He eventually got nice and messy and then Elijah (Amber's son) decided to help him out haha. Needless to say, they both needed a bath after. I have lots of pictures that I will get on here as soon as I can. And Amber is also going to get her video footage she got with her video camera on the computer for me since my camera can't do that. So if you want to WATCH him open presents and eat cake, I can send you the file. =)
All in all, it was a really good day. We had to go inside before the cake (the party was on our deck) because it started raining. Oh well, it was still fun. Sorry this is so long. That was our adventure with Kaden's first birthday. I can't believe he is one already!
