Bella's unexpected visit to Jacob
Bella had always been my dream ever since i'd met her. It pained me to see her turned, cold, harsh, cruel. And yet as i stood at the doorway starring at her, i still yearned for the everlasting life we could have had together. She stood, transfixed, rooted in her spot with her golden eyes, starring at me. From, behind me i could here Billy calling my name. I dared speak out her name
"Bella?" she turned her head in my direction, narrowing in to my eyes.
"Jacob." she answered. Her cold unfriendly voice sent shiver up my back as a controlled the wolf that wanted dearly to rip her apart.
I finally felt Billy wheel to my side, as if he could feel the tension in the air. He gasped as his eyes lay on the changed Bella.
"Bella? Is that you?" exclaimed Billy. Bella looked away, down the street as if she were in a hurry for something.
"Yes Billy its me. I was wondering if i could talk to Jacob for a second?" she murmured so soft that i had to strain to hear her. Billy was taken back by her hostile voice but nodded slowely and wheeled out of sight. I stepped outside my house and closed the door. Bella startted off towards the forest with a fast pace, and i followed warily. i was so scared of this new Bella. she was not the bella i came to know, to love, to yearn for. We enetered the densely packed forest and continued walking.
Suddenly she wheeled around and faced me.
"Jacob, how come you havn't been answering my letters, emails or phone calls? Im still alive you know! Its not like im dead, like i dont have feelings!!" she exclaimed angrily.
Anger boiled in me as i took her in her accusition and i opened my mouth to yell back.
"Bella, you made your choice, you chose the bloodsucker, and now you honestly expect me to still be friends with you?" i yelled out. A light feather brushed up against my spine but i clenched my teeth and forced my self under control. Bella's face held no sign of hurt, instead she was deeply disguisted. To my suprise she threw her head back and gave a deafening laugh.
"Silly Jacob, your still heartbroken that i chose Edward over you?" She grinned menacingly. "Get over it Jacob, i'm giving you a chance to stay friends with me. Take it or leave it." And with that she turned around and dissapeared, into the woods. I stood still for a very long time until i heard the sound of Quil and Embry at my side.
"Sorry Jacob, didn't even catch her scent till she left. Are you okay? Did she hurt you? asked Quil. I shook my head slowely and trudged back towards the house. I could feel the uneasy looks behind me.
"Hey Jacob are you sure....?" But i cut him off before he could finish. I whirled around, eyeing them both angrily.
"I'm fine okay? I just need to escape." I exclaimed. With that i let the beast inside me explode, giving me full freedom. I raced off in no particular direction as the picture of cold, hard Bella flashed before my eyes. I always knew this would be what she would be like, but i was still very much shaken by the visit. Maybe her personality in her letters was still the same. I wouldn't know; i'd burned every letter, deleted every email, and avoided every phone call from Bella. It was too painful. I wondered where she was, how she was doing. Did she ever miss me? Ever wonder what life would be like with me? No, she was happy with her bloodsucker. Happy to be one of them, happy to never remember me again. And with that, i pounded my feet and continued aimlessly into the forest.
