YES YOU!!!! I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE, SITTING WITH A POUT ON YOUR LOVELY FACE?
Come on, get up from your seat and give thanks, Oh don't give me this song and dance, by saying, what to I have to be Thankful for?, or by saying, Just because it's Thanksgiving we should be thankful on this day, it should be every single day. Well Granted you're right, we should be thankful every single day of our life. But my question is, "Why are you pouting, sad, depressed?
So what if you have a lousy job, one you hate going to every single day. Who cares, the way i see it...you have a job, weather its lousy or not. So what if you have lousy set of parent's, family, friends....who cares, the point is..you have them. So what if your home does not look like the ones in a magazine, or Beverly Hills drive. Or what if you dog/cat (what ever pet you have) does'nt do tricks, or act on command given. Who Cares. So what if you are not wearing Verssace perfurm, purse or Tommy Hilfinger outfits. Who cares!! The point is...and what i'm trying to get too, is that you Give thanks for the breath of life that breaths within you.
I mean, lets take this moment, to analize reality. Which we don't do very often, I mean, we do analize other things, Material things that is. Get my driff?
I look at what happen in New Orleans. These people have nothing. their lost their home, their clothing, there pets, their family, and all they wish for is to be able to be back to where their once call a place *HOME* or how about Our Soldiers who are still out there fighting to maintain peace. Wow, they really have their hands full. The point is...they wish to be home. Yet where every they are..or might be. There's always a soft whisper within the breath they breath..saying *Thank you for letting me see the sun rise again. Thank you for letting me write a letter to my family back home. Thank you for allowing me to Give my child a piece of bread. Thank you for allowing me to hold my wife, sister, brother, father, mother hand.
There's so Much to be thankful for. We are breathing another day, we are seeing our dog/cat, jump on the bed, we are able to put on those raggety jeans, we are able to jump in our car and go for a drive, we are able to hear our kids walk in...screaming MOMMY I"M HUNGRY, MOM where's my Shoes, Mom I love you. We are able to sit in the comfort of our home, keeping ourselve warm..out of the cold weather or beating sun. We are able to read a novel. We are able to laugh and cry when our hearts feels a stir within our soul.
Now, I tell you, why are you pouting?
Get you sweet buns out of that chair, raise your arms toward heavens, close your eyes, and utter the words. *Thank you for giving me Life* Thank you for the blessing I have received in my life. Thank you for These eyes where i can continue to watch the beauty that surround me. Thank you for this heart of mines where i'm able to feel every emotions that swept thru my veins.
Now do you get it?
Mmmmm still aint getting it yet?
Than take this moment in solitude...and think of the Blessing your life has endure and continue to endure.
Ask yourself *What am I Thankful for?*

So, There you have it. A day to actually be thankful which so many don't do very often.
I myself, and thankful for the blessing that God has given me. Thankful for my lovely children who continue to give me grey hair..(hey, i'm gracefully growing old and loving it) I'm thankful for my parents whom i'm able to care for every single day, i know someday they will be gone. I'm thankful for soooooooo many things in my life. Most of all, I'm thankful that God has always welcome me with open arms.
Granted some days are not all peaches and creams..however, I'm thankful either way. The way i see it...We are not just bodies and minds We are also spirits that were made in the image of God. With out God in our lifes there is restless and in secret torment.
