[So ... I have about three and a half weeks until I leave on my holiday.]So ... I have about three and a half weeks until I leave on my holiday. I have been planning this thing for a year officially (even longer if you count all the other times I told my American friends that I was coming lol) For it to be this close now, is making me crazy. I’m worried I’m gonna forget something, get stuck somewhere, something will go wrong with my cash card etc ... eek. I tend to think too much and worry too much about things that I really don’t need to stress about. It’s silly, I know. Plenty of people go on long trips overseas and are fine.
At the same time that I am stressed, I am super excited. Hawaii is going to be amazing. The weather for a start is going to be much better than what we are having in Melbourne at the moment. I am going to get to meet a long time friend and hopefully meet some fairly new friends. Not to mention this is where they film one of my favourite shows. This is where one of my all time favourite actors lives and works. This is going to be awesome. I just know the first Shave Ice stand I see I’ll geek out because of Kamekona; or the first time I see a HPD squad car ... I’m a very TV orientated person LOL Not to mention we get to go to Sunset On The Beach and watch the premier with the cast. That is amazing. That is exciting.
Then also, since the last time I posted anything we have had new developments. Despite it being way out of our way in LA, my friend and I have decided to go to SeaWorld. Why is this super exciting? I get to see Shamu. I love Orca’s and have always wanted to see one in real life. I was looking at Whale Watching Tours in LA but although they say its rare to not have any sightings of whales, they do not guarantee and there is certainly no guarantee we’ll see any Orca’s. SeaWorld offers me 100% that I will see one ... and not just from afar. I will see one up close in his under water enclosure. EXCITED!!!
You know? If it wasn’t for the airports and the fact that they freak me out? I probably wouldn’t be stressing at all when I think about it. American airports are a lot harder to get through than Aussie ones. Or at least so I have been told by everyone (yanks and aussies)
We’ll just have to see how I go I guess.
On another note? I am a massive AFL (Australian Football League) fan. My team, the Richmond Tigers are actually playing finals this year. It hasn’t happened in a while. I am hoping to maybe be able to get to one finals match before my trip. I wont be in Australia if we actually make the Grand Final (which is typical of Murphy’s law - we haven’t been in a Grand Final in the time that I have been alive LOL) But regardless. I am super excited with that. I hope the boys get there. They deserve it. So ... three and a half weeks. I have a feeling that time is going to fly!
