So, with a little persuasion, I decided to go ahead and take a few pics of how things are going when it comes to preparing for little Lily’s arrival!
Here’s a shot of Lily’s room before we started painting. The walls are a beige color that works well for the rest of the house, but not so much for our baby’s room! That black blob on the paint tarp is none other than Shadow.
This is my husband painting away on the first coat!
This is a rough shot of the end of the first coat of paint. The lighting didn’t make the room look as pink as the previous shot. We definitely need a second coat!
Here’s the crib set, skirt, and extra fitted sheet that we bought at Target. They are retiring the Dwell Studio “Olivia” print, so I had to grab what I could. I snagged the matching curtains on eBay today.
Here’s the beginning of Lily’s closet. We haven’t bought a ton of clothes since we haven’t had my baby shower yet and she’s not going to need a ton of clothes immediately. But we did grab some good finds at Kohls and Old Navy
