My husband and I celebrated Mother’s Day today with his mom, as she is going to be down in L.A. visiting Geoff next weekend and we won’t get the opportunity to see her. We treated her to lunch at one of the local fish houses and then returned to their house for some chit chat and family time. We bought her a garden stake made to look like a lily, with the flower made of glass and a peachy orange color. There’s also a pretty little metal butterfly on the lily. The flower itself is a solar light. I found it in one of the many knick knack and furniture catalogs that we both receive in the mail. Miraculously, she had not spotted the lily in her copy of the catalog! I really enjoy buying her plant and garden supplies and decor. I love how she’s put so much love into her yard, and it really shows. I hope that we can make our yard feel as “homey”!
