Miscellaneous Facts:
- Yes, Ladd is a member of the Mafia. He's the nephew of the current head of the Russo family, Placido Russo. The Russos are based in Chicago and seem to deal mainly in smuggling. Ladd's their hitman, mostly because they can't find anything else for him to do where he can kill people freely.
- He's from the year 1931. Booze is illegal, the depression's in full swing, and movies with sound are just starting to come out. Ladd doesn't know what TV is. Or computers. Or anything like that.
- Ladd has a prosthetic left arm made of metal. Apparently, it functions - at least in Nautilus. I'll just blame Huey or something. seriously who would give this guy his arm back
----> That arm broke in the Kalliste war, so he had to get it replaced. Grumpy Autobot Ratchet made him another one.
-------> And then THAT arm broke during the fight in which he killed Zack Fair. While Ladd was stuck in prison, Graham got Hazel Bently to agree to fix up/make up a new arm for him in exchange for a piece of Decepticon brains. So Ladd's on his fourth left arm now. He just doesn't have luck with this.
- Ladd smokes cigars.
- Ladd has some kind of accent in the dub, and I'm using that because I like how it sounds for his character. But I don't what you'd call that particular accent. I'm not good at these things. ( My speech patterns for Ladd are also based on the dub, although they're pretty much the same as the original... )
- You might notice that Ladd has white/gray hair in a lot of his icons, or just in a lot of fanart you find of him in general. In the novels, his hair turns white (presumably from shock) some time after he loses his arm and gets sent to jail. Or so I've heard. I keep him blond in Nautilus just because I don't know all the details about that.
