Japan Trip 2008: Day 2 - 08.03.30 [日]

We were heading to 原宿(Harajuku).


Leaving the hotel.

But our stomachs were kinda empty so we made a stop at the
デパ地下 (depachika - basement of departmental store filled food stalls)
while we were on our way to 池袋(Ikebukuro) station.

MmmMM~ After refueling, we traveled to 原宿(Harajuku).

That's the ハチ公バス(Hachiko Bus) which travels to and fro 渋谷Shibuya to areas like
原宿(Harajuku), 表参道(Omotesando), 代々木(Yoyogi), 恵比寿(Ebisu) etc.. in various routes.

We saw some of the cosplayers while on our way to 明治神宮(Meiji Shrine).








It was sure a ROCKY road (rock pathway) and I had to walk in my heels. LOL.
The weather is eventually getting colder too.

We saw couples holding their traditional wedding ceremony here.





Those kids were so stiff and stressed up. Hahaha. かわいい.



Throw in a coin, clap twice, make your wish and end it with a sincere bow.

After we were done. We walked out and saw more cosplayers.
The cosplayers here are more like cosplaying those V系(Visual rock) artistes rather than
those animation characters who can be found at アキバ aka 秋葉原(Akiba aka Akihabara).

Time for lunch! We were having オムライス(omu raisu - omelette rice).



Pardon the messy hair. I was too hungry to care. Hehe.

Besides cosmetics, beauty products etc.. We bought 2 umbrellas too.
It was pouring.. AGAIN!! It rained during the 1st trip on our 1st day to 原宿(Harajuku) too.

LA FORET

The shopping has a unique point which is they way they label the floors.
Instead of the usual 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F and so on, they are
1F, 1.5F, 2F, 2.5F, 3F, 3.5F, all the way till 6F.

The 0.5 floors will be half  the size of the usual floors.
For example, it should be a full round of shops and instead, the shops on
the 0.5 floors are only layed in half circle. Similar to half the amount of shops.

Does it sound confusing??

La Foretで素敵な喫茶店を発見した！

貴和第二製作所 喫茶室コジカ
(Kiwa Daini Seisakujo Kissashitsu Kojika)









I like this exquisite café located on the 3F. It is a sister cafe of the accessories parts
shop named 貴和製作所(Kiwa Seisakujo) located opposite of the café.

The café ambience gave me a very elegant feeling.
An excellent place to make stop to rest in midst of shopping!

After we are done with the shopping at La Foret, we proceeded to 竹下通り(Takeshitadoori).
Not much pics of  竹下通り(Takeshitadoori) as it was raining. We went to take puri too.
One of the puri shop does not allow male to enter. To protect the girls from perverts?? I guess..

プリクラ
The new puri machines nowadays will enlarge your eyes automatically
to create the big eyes look. But we didn't like it. We find it hilarious
and thought it makes us looked comical. LOL!!!

クイーンオヴピンク(Queen of Pink)


美星 (ビセイVisee)


This machine is slightly better. Haha. But I love the colors & decors of 'Queen of Pink'.

We left to have our dinner in 池袋(Ikebukuro). The other parts of 原宿(Harajuku)
will be explored on another day when the weather is fine. :)



It was raining in 原宿(Harajuku) so I bought the Stich canvas bag to put all
my shopping loot while shopping in Harajuku area to make things easier.

The leopard-print umbrella is only 550yen and it was durable.
(clearer pictures of it will be shown in upcoming entries)

I wanted to shop more before having dinner. We went to Parco Ikebukuro
again and I bought a floral dress from LOVE BOAT.

3 dresses, knitted vest, accessories, glasses, cosmetics
and beauty products from ainz & tulpe, the drug store.

Haha, and I started to switch on my scary narcissistic mode
with the glasses I bought from La Foret.

















Okays, I know it's getting too much.

This is the box which comes along with the glasses and
I was able to choose among several colors.
