Japan Trip 2008: Day 1 - 08.03.29 [土]

成田空港に着きました！
♪｡o.+ﾟ｡*･ＨДＰＰＹ(o′▽`o) ＨДＰＰＹ｡o.ﾟ+｡*･♪

We took the 2340 flight which departs from Terminal 3 on 28th March 2008, Friday and
reached Narita Airport Terminal 1 at around 7plus in the morning. After going through the
customs(fingerprints and picture taking), we bought the tickets for airport limousine bus
to the hotel which we will be staying, Crowne Plaza Metropolitan in 池袋(Ikebukuro).

We love the cold weather!

We were greeted by pretty sakura trees just outside Narita Airport. *HAPPY*

It was still early to check-in when we reached the hotel so we decided to
walk around Ikebukuro and go to Shinjuku to get Marv's DSLR.

We reached 新宿(Shinjuku) after a 10 mins ride.

He bought this Canon Kiss X2 (EOS 450D) DSLR from Map Camera and it is cheaper than
to get it in Singapore. Moreover, it was not launched in Singapore yet.

I was feeling very hungry and I bought a box of Lotte Koala's March.
SUPER DELICIOUS!! I must be really hungry and it is made in Japan unlike those in Singapore.
I bought the Rohto Lychee eye solution as my eyes were soring due to dryness.

We went back to hotel soon after getting his camera to check-in cos
Marv wanted a room which are able to view Mt.Fuji.

Seeing sakura every time we leave the hotel makes my day!

Next, we were heading to 上野恩賜公園(Ueno Park).

The sakura here were fully bloomed and totally breath taking. SO BEAUTIFUL!!!♡
Many people were there to do hanami(お花見).

大黒屋(daikokuya) revisited. We love the 天丼(tendon) sooooooo much!!

Yeah~ We got the table at the 2nd floor which is in in tatami style.

We were famished and it was our 1st meal of the day.
We were too engrossed with the sakura. Haha.

We contiued walking around after filling our empty stomach.
Some desserts for us, the あげまんじゅう(deep-fried buns).

It was delicious but not as before cos it was not pipin' hot.
The stall is closing and those were cooked some time ago.
Still we were glad to be able to eat it. ♪ヾ(ﾟ-^*)

We were lucky to catch the ritual practice which they hold monthly.
A sedan were carried by the men into the temple while the drums were rolling.

I did a little shopping at Parco in Ikebukuro.
The basement 2 is just like a mini Shibuya109.

LOVE BOAT

LOL! I was trying on the dress at Cecil McBee.

They provide the bags in a black box which is place in each fitting room for
the customers to prevent make-up from staining the clothes and
one must remove their shoes and place it at the doorstep.

Shopped at the drug store nearby after Parco. I ran out of eyeliner and Marv
needs to get medicine for his aching stomach. It was not the food.
He got the bad stomach since morning. Poor dear.

Chocola BB Drink! Yummy & Good for the skin.

We crossed the street to take puri and grabbed some snacks, mineral water and etc
from the convinience store, ampm which is like, 2-minute walk away from the hotel.
Besides ampm, 7-11, Lawson and Circle Sunkus are nearby too.

Kanebo KATE Gel Eyeliner

I find the application is smoother than Bobbi Brown and it is
as lasting as the latter. Moreover, it comes with a liner in every package.
