On our way in the train.
Outside Ueno Station. We had to transfer to another subway line.
浅草 (Asakusa)
We queued for this famous Tendon shop in the uber cold weather.
These hot 串団子 (kushi dango) came to 'save' the both of us. It made us fall in love with dango!
We were shown to our table at the 2nd floor whereby everybody sits on the floor to dine.
The 1st floor is normal tables and chairs. We were so glad that we got to try out
something traditional. It was such a torture to wait for our food to be served!
We kept looking at the others enjoying their fabulous Tendon!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAA~~~
After waiting for about 25 to 30 mins, here comes ours! SUPER DELICIOUS 天丼!!!!!!
Look at the size of the Tempura!! ☆・:.,:*(ノ゚∀゚ノ)*:,.:・★ ゥハァー

We bought 4 of the 5 flavors available. The 5th flavor was not available at that moment.
Red bean, Green Tea, Pumpkin and Sesame.
おいしい!!!
Another あげまんじゅう stall managed by the old folks. They are all still so strong and 元気!
Hand-made せんべい(senbei - rice crackers) and 人形焼(ningyouyaki - mini pancakes).
We bought some rice crackers and tried hot sake!
雷門(Kaminarimon)
Not located within
仲見世(Nakamise).
We bought some 人形焼 from this shop on our way to Asakusa Station.
The
Asahi Super Dry Hall designed by Phillippe Starck!

Our next destination,
お台場 (Odaiba)!
I love the train ride experience! Beautiful Sunset, Rainbow Bridge and the Tokyo Bay.
The train of Yurikamome line will travel under the Rainbow Bridge
while making its way to Odaiba area.
At the
Decks Tokyo Beach, the then Newly Opened
Muscle Park!
There are many challenging games which requires loads of concentration.
We played some games including the Memory Test above. Hahaha.
The MONSTER BURGER is sure SCARY!!!!!!
I should have made him take one! *evil*
Another level at Decks Tokyo Beach, Daiba Mini Hong Kong.
Bruce Lee? Or he was just clearing her nose?? LOL!!!
We purchase the lock from a capsule machine and took puri at the
available machines there. They provided scissors for cutting the puri.
Sticked the puri on the lock and attached it to the stand like everyone else did.
Next,
Venus Fort.
Venus Fort is a Venice-themed shopping center with many exclusive fashion boutiques.
The sky-painted ceiling changes slowly from day to night in repeated manner.
ASH & DIAMONDS! Well-known for its blings items. They have collaborated
with Ayu to produce the "A" logo mobile phone straps too.
The gorgeous fountain.
The 人形焼 (ningyouyaki - mini pancakes) we bought from Asakusa.
We ate some while deciding which restaurant to dine at.
We decided to have 炭火焼肉 (sumibi yakiniku - charcoal grilled meat)
at this Korean Yakiniku Restaurant,
TORAJI.
We ordered the Seafood Assortment, Premium Beef Assortment and Cocktails.
We were given 2 Ice cream sticks as complimentary desserts after
footing the bill. This is when I FORGOT TO TAKE THE BAG I JUST
BOUGHT FROM A STORE AN HOUR AGO!!!!!!! Luckily the bag
cost only 3,800yen. I only realize it when we are on the train from
Shimbashi to Ikebukuro. The kind shop staff offered to keep my
shopping bag at the counter while enjoying the dinner.
We left Venus Fort and walked to
Palette Town with intention of taking
the Ferris Wheel ride. But...... It was REALLY HUGE!!!! I'm afraid of heights
and the blazing cold weather was not helping at all. So we only took pictures
with the mini ferries wheel. How pathetic and embarassing! *HIDES*
I will try to conquer this fear during my next trip, I promise!
The One-day Pass ticket for the Yurikamome line.
We get to keep them as remembrance.
The train ride back was yet AMAZING! Pretty Ferris Wheel, Gorgeously-decorated
Fuji Terebi Building, Lighted Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower.
Short clip of the train ride back to Shimbashi Station.
It was SOOOOOOO COLD that night. But Marv was not feeling cold as he has his
feet heat pads sticked on. He lend me his coat on our way back to hotel.
How cold was the weather? Hmm.. We saw this Japanese guy trembling
and fidgeting non-stop to keep himself warm. Plus, the temperature
is always lower and the wind stronger at bay side areas.
