"OMG!! THIS MEANS THE JONAS BROTHERS ARE GOING TO PLAY AT THE INAUGURATION!!"
- Ciera to me via telephone.
Despite having the nation's truest interests at heart, such as the Jonas Brothers doing DC in January, and despite my mother being a worse sport than John McCain is and having to live with that hell on earth for the next four years of my insufferable life, it is both an honor & a privilege to have taken part in the biggest presidential election our nation will ever know, and to have this moment to hold in my heart for the rest of my life. Living, breathing, honest to God history in the making. We have proven that we as a united people are ready to evolve and shed the skin that was once American and start anew as one in the unknown.
The outpouring of emotion involved in this race, the voices that demanded to be heard, and the change that is yet to come make me so proud of the country that I call my home.
Congratulations, Obama. I believe you'll do us right.
(and thanks for having cool kids who dig the jobros ;D)
