HANSON (charlotte, 10/11/07)

Oct 21, 2007 10:36

"What do you see when you turn out the lights?
I can't tell you, but I know it's mine."
With a Little Help From My Friends, The Beatles

Charlotte was a riot, all kinds of good & bad & amazing.
We left straightaway after Richmond, me with three strangers in my car who needed a ride, Jenn, Becky, Leah & Melissa in Jenn's car, and another group of girls that we met & paled around with in another.
It was a three car caravan to Charlotte. We stopped around 4 in the morning, outside of Raleigh, and we each chipped in $10 bucks and the 12 of us divided up into two rooms and crashed until 10 AM.

one accidental key locked in the trunk and a trip from triple A later ...
its finallyfinallyfinally time to leave.
the thing that sucks about traveling with eleven other girls?
it takes YEARS for everyone to actually get ready!

after we get to charlotte?
"i know this sounds creepy, but i recognize you from livejournal" lmao i love it
darkbleurain & i meet at the hanson show!!
dude she said the funniest shit after the show that me & jenn quoted for years -
"penelope has the pink ones and everett has the green ones ... and you're a faggot"

jenn, kim & i wander away from the crowd and then?
taylor comes tiptoeing out of the wrong door at the venue.
he is all lit up and excited when he sees us then ... FACEFALL.
jenn & i point.
"they're down there." we say. poor taylor thinking no one came to TAKE TEH WALKZZ

yeah well
you do what you have to do

TIME TO TAKE TEH WALKZ

while taylor blabbers on ...

we love life

oh wait who's that back there?
t hanson, yeah yeah

walking! away from hanson!

then the drama begins ... the fuzz show, taylor smarts off, gets scolded by the charlotte feds, and then we are police escorted back to the venue.

"thanks for getting almost run over"

zac, to me you will always be the little brat who played with legos and wore your hair in crazy braids while utilizing those heavenly glow in the dark drumsticks.
IT WAS A PLEASURE

trying to chill on the sidewalk, im being harrassed constantly no lie
IS THAT A HANSON TATTOO
I LOVE YOUR HAIR
JUST WANTED TO CHATZ
omg i wanted to hire security or something
becky & jenn want to die when we get no peace

that NEEDS to happen

so the fun thing about the charlotte show is that becky and i got in like near the end of the line, and we pushed our way up to second row, taylor's side.
yeah, we were THOSE fans. anyway - we got talked about and shoved around viciously for the majority of the show, but it was worth the shit out of it.
THATS CALLED DEDICATION.

sexy, sexy locksley!
love those boys, such nice guys.

hanson time!!

YESSSS I FINALLY GET TO SEE TAYLOR
my vision was completely obscured unless he came out around the piano

honestly this is just cruel how good looking you are

i am accidentally obsessed with taylor during "hole in my life"

i finally see zac!

"on the rocks" & "go" have to be some of my favorite moments
i love when zac & isaac steal the show

"10 years ago ... we recorded a little cd called "Middle of Nowhere"," Isaac says, grinning out at the crowd. "And that ... is where we met all of you."

no lie, i choked up.
isaac you are really getting to me honestly WHAT gives?!

what the acoustic set actually looked like for me boooo baby grand!

one more gorgeous taylor picture for the road ;)

DO YOU WANT TO BE THE PASSIVE GENERATION

the chorus of great divide acoustic, as the encore.
seriously i get chills thinking of it.

all in all, the show was good. the setlist was pretty decent, not too much different from richmond (although they did play lost without each other, which is kind of like heaven) but i couldnt see for shit mostly the whole show. i was so far on t's side that i could only see him when he came out from behind the piano, and i never once saw zac at the drums. all i could see was ISAAC ISAAC ISAAC. i think it is my punishment for always laughing at him. there is a lesson to be learned, ladies & gents - second row doesnt always mean good times. and making fun of isaac will get you nowhere in life.

basically, "hole in my life" once again made me happy to be on this planet. someone get me a bootleg of that song, i need it on my ipod for life.

after charlotte, we hung around with locksley, i sat in my car with becky until we got bored and went to retrieve our friends, and stumbled upon zac & ike taking pictures by the buses. becky has my other picture with zac, i'll get it eventually. people were ignoring z & i completely and standing outside of the buses chanting, "taylor, taylor taylor, taylor!" honestly, get a grip on life. he never came out, i dont blame him, and i feel bad for z & i - this isnt the taylor hanson band, guys. you cant have one without the others.

we left around 2 AM, drove straight home to greenville, where i crashed until my alarm went off at 700. after less than 15 hrs of sleep combined for three days, i burst into tears at the thoughts of louisville.

the walk tour, hanson
