If I Could Rule the World,
But Only for One Day...

1973 - Some of the Marauders have first romantic feelings. (For the RS Yahoo group.)

It is Valentine's Day and Sirius, being the 15 year old boy he is, has spent the morning basking in his male prowess. Having received 5 more Valentine's Day cards than James and therefore the most in his year; strutting, looking gorgeous and ambushing lesser mortals is what he considers to be appropriate behaviour. This is, after all, the third year running. Remus had fairly on in the morning run off to the library. Valentine's Day is just another reminder of what he cannot have as a werewolf. Sirius, being the fool he is, cannot survive a mere than a few hours without Remus. He finds it necessary to break from his posing and hair shaking to hunt him down.

So he drags Remus out of the library. Sirius cannot stand the silence. It just reminds him just too much of Grimmauld Palace, with the dust, damp and old magic. Somehow, being the idiot that he is, Sirius makes Remus drop the towering pile of books he is carrying. As he reaches to pick up one of the books Remus dropped, he looks up into the blinding sun (the annoying type that in Autumn and Spring blinds you when it sets) and sees Remus for who he is and realises why he cannot survive without him.

This an old sketch (from 2007). I don't particularly like it, however the drabble endears it to me. And I'm sorry that it is small, I can't upload it from Photobucket. Click on it and it gets bigger.
