Getting so serious

I have nothing to do at work right now so I was reading back some of my entries and realizing that over the past ten months things have changed a lot. I'm not so excited about the city. I don't love my job (quite the contrary). I don't go out to the bars that everyone is so drawn to (myself included) upon arriving here. I'm more sickened by the New York art world than fascinated. I'm feeling the pressure of how expensive it is to live here - even when I'm an hour away from my job in a quiet Brooklyn neighborhood.

I'm not leaving, yet, but this is not my home.
