I just...feel like I don't know what to say. Honestly, this is one of THE BEST comments I've ever gotten on a mix EVER. Firstly, thank you SO much for taking the time to come back and give me some constructive crit because I really do love to know what I did/didn't achieve. I look at making these as kind of a wonderful project, where I can, not only appreciate the characters/stories/episodes I love, but explore the themes and deeper characteristics apparent in the episode/show/character.

It is high praise indeed not only that you took the time to listen to it three times, but that it truly excited you. That makes me SO excited to hear myself. Wow. I'm just floored.

I'm glad to hear that you felt it achieved the aims I was going for. One of the HUGE elements for me in this particular mix was to make the music feel as though it FIT within each part of the story. Reichenbach just affected me so much that I wanted to retell the story and explore the characters through music/lyrics and I'm so glad that came through. (Sidenote: SO excited for Sigur Rós. Ugh. They are amazing. That song gives me chills too!) I LOVE the postlude on that Gravenhurst track! I can totally see some travel/departure going on there. By sentiment do you mean the final Daughter track or the end of the Gravenhurst track? Either way, YES, both artists are amazing. I would highly recommend them. :D

Wow, I didn't mean to write so much, but you gave me such WONDERFUL things to reply to. It means a LOT that it affected you so much. It's one of the best things I could hear. Thank you! <3

And I love to render an artist speechless :D

I fully understand the desire to explore Reichenbach .. this episode affects me something fierce. I keep thinking of it, coming back to it. I feel like it even was important for me to approach it through a new channel - in this case music. More closure, you know? ;)

And I made the experience that good but edgy music often needs more than one try. Things that don't sink in right away are usually the more remarkable :)

I was talking about Gravenhurst - I always prefer the male voices just a little, heh.

I'm glad my feedback meant something to you, too! Win on all accounts. And btw, I just re-watched the Fall (alas, in German, because my company was too lazy to strain their brain!) and guess what I just dropped into my playlist :D You're most welcome! <3

Absolutely! I'm not sure I'll ever have Reichenbach closure until S3 airs. xD Creative pursuits like this are not only therapeutic but help to ease the wait of the never ending hiatus. ;)

Cool, cool! Just wondering. I'm actually surprised how equal I got things this time around. Usually there's more of one or the other. xD

Ah! That brings a smile to my face. :D I'm still over the moon that you enjoyed it so. Thank you again. :)

Hehe, good point.. me neither. I guess I can't even grasp how stupidly far away August 2013 really is.. >_> And I can absolutely see how creating something like this would be therapeutic.

(Also, how random, but: I'm slowly falling in love with songs I first ignored, such as "Size Too Small" or "From the Water".)

Now I need to ask: Have you by any chance watched "Third Star"? Because Vincent McMorrow, one of the artists present on the soundtrack, is doing all kinds of things to me, and since your mix did too.. I feel like sharing.

I know, I try not to think about it. xD I'm just trying to focus on what we're getting during the in between time! Parade's End, The Hobbit, Star Trek, Cabin Pressure...so exciting!

I do that exact same thing! I'll get hooked on certain songs and then come back later and fall in love with ones I hadn't initially fallen in love with at first. It's one of the great joys of listening to music. :D

THIRD STAR RUINED MY LIFE. And I mean that in the best possible sense. xD I watched it and it went round and round in my head for days afterward. What an utterly poignant film; and when JVM started in the credits I wanted to have a meltdown. After having your heart broken for 1.5 hours + they go and use that song at the end. I'd loved him before so when I heard them use 'Follow You Down to the Red Oak Tree' at the end of that film...it just shattered me. I was like, 'Is that James Vincent McMorrow? OMG IT IS!' It was SO perfect for it. His voice aches of haunting sadness. Ugh. It hurts.

Hah yes - the Hobbit! So excited for that one 8) (but the others, as well.)

Yes it is <3 I actually had 'start-off troubles' with almost all my now-favourite artists. Almost taking it as a quality attribute, now ;)

Woooow!! That's so exciting, to re-encounter an artist at such an intense point. I'd never heard of Vincent McMorrow before, but when that song came on during the credits? Fuck. I fell in love right away .. and I still am smitten after buying his record. His music is so soulful; one of those artists I will stick with for a long, long time. ♥
Also yeah, that movie killed me and occupied me for days afterwards. Are our minds linked, by any chance? It's ebbing down; I might have to re-watch it! ;) Oh Mr Cumberbatch. The things you do to us.

Ah! Please forgive me for my delayed responses. xD I would whole-heartedly agree with the JVM and Third Star sentiment. It is absolutely unreal the feelings that movie makes me feel. It just gets in your head and sits there for a while. It's that raw and real. It's definitely one to be seen in measured doses. lol.

(By the way, do you plan to make more of these sometime? In which case I should like to friend you!)

I do hope to make more! I cannot say exactly when since these things all depend on when my muse likes to work, but I've got a couple of ideas I'm toying with right now. IDK if they'll work out, but I hope so! Please do feel free to friend me! :)
