Past couple of days have been...good. I guess. Left home yesterday and went to Hillary's parent's house in Mansfield. Yeah...that was supposed to be an hour and a half drive...and i made it in less than an hour. I rock. So does my lead foot.
Well I got there and Hillary came out to get her dress and I followed with all her birthday gifts. I put my stuff in my room and we decided to gifts then while no one else was home. I gave her a book "The Wine Bible", a movie "The Devil's Rejects", two framed photos of us(her favorite of us, then her favorite of me, then my favorite of her), a bar of Godiva chocolate, 2 Godiva chocolate truffles, a bag full of Dove chocolate, and then a bag that had 100 cards in it for her to read 1 a day for the 100 days that we will be apart from each other. Then my friend Amanda gave her a book "Making Friends with Black People"...it was...amazing.
Then I opened my gifts. She gave me little things that reminded her of me...such as sidewalk chalk, Spiderman stickers, and bubbles. Then she gave me a poster...but not just any poster. It was a poster-sized reproduction of my sunrise picture that I am so proud of. :) she also gave me a white thong...that had my favorite Bible verse in Greek and my favorite Christian symbol on it. It was...rather interesting.
Then had dinner, cooked by Hillary. Italian Roast subs...or something like that. They were good. Then me and Hillary headed out. We went to Starbucks and Brian met us up there, as did their friend, Ashley. We spent 2 hours there, before going to do a random Walmart run. We stayed there for about an hour, if not more...but I was in a whole heck of a lot of pain(head, stomach, back, neck...you name it, it hurt.)...so we all decided to leave. Brian bought me Tylenol and a Diet Coke before leaving so that I could take some medicine and get better. Then we said our good-bye's and left.
Wednesday morning came and Hillary woke me up around...eh...8:15 or so. blah. too early. We had to take her cat to the vet to get fixed by 9...gah. Then we drove to Jasper County to deliver some batteries for her dad and then we came back to her house, I packed my stuff, and we left to go to Bodies.
Bodies was....amazing. period. No other way to explain it. Those Bodies were amazing...the artist that put this together is awesome. It's amazing how someone can take a real human body and disect it down to what they were showing us. Such time and detail was put into these bodies. It was truly the best work of art I have ever seen.
After Bodies, Hillary and I separated. She went home and I went home. Came back and made some mac-n-cheese and then took a lovely nap, but was rudely awakened by the dogs attacking me because they were scared of the storm that was raging outside. Horrible storm. I've seen worse, but even I was scared by this one. Our power went out temporarily and that was kinda...iffy. Came right back on.
Then my mom got home and I packed up and left for church in her car. Decided to take hers since the weather was bad and I already don't feel safe driving the truck because of the mirror being busted out. So I got there and set up for the lesson and taught the kids. Had a problem child, but was able to take care of him OK. Brittney left early because she felt really sick. Me and Laurel cleaned up, I talked to Glenn and Denise about our weekend plans, then I jumped in the Highlander and set off for home.
So now I'm here :)
Probably going to go to bed early. I don't feel well at all. :(
