Some pictures from this fall right after we got moved into the new place :) Francis finally got talked into taking a 'lesson' from me on Impy!! I was pretty excited about being able to 'teach' my man more about doing what I love! I do have to admit though, he was a natural. Impy was the perfect gentlemen with him too.

Thanks for the enthusiastic greeting, Meg. Your first sentence sure made me smile :D.
My friend had a great time out at the farm. She just loves being around horses almost as much as I do.
Not to hijack your post but here are a couple of pics and a short video from my last 2 trips out there.

First my friend hanging out with Mr. Perfect (aka Jack) while waiting to have a pony ride on Beau:

Next me on Beau with a better view of this fantastic arena:

and a short clip of us cantering:

It's never hijacking with horses!! I love the name Mr. Perfect, too cute :) And that's a great shot of you on Beau; nice extension and you've got him in a solid looking frame. I loved the clip of you cantering--that might be my personal favorite gait.
Again, I'm so glad to have you back on here again. I missed my horsey friend :')
xoxo

I'm so glad you enjoyed the pics & clip. Jack's show name was Jack Be Nimble when Robin (his owner) used to compete him. She described him simply like this, "Jack is perfect". Hence my nickname for him. He was the first horse I got on after my accident, so he'll forever have a special place in my heart. Unfortunately he has uveitis.
Thanks for the compliment on my riding. Beau is very well trained and has a great medium trot. I haven't actually attempted an extended trot on him simply because I'm no where near in shape enough to do it well.
Canter has become my favorite gait but for many years I would happily just explore the different variations in trot. My love for canter now has something to do with how slowly I move as a person creating a need for the adrenaline rush of a forward canter.
I've missed being on here, too but it's always nice to hear that the feeling is mutual. *hugs

PS - Impy looks like such a kind gentleman. I'm sure he didn't put a foot wrong for Francis.

Awww, well I love all of his names!! LOL. I had a horse with uveitis once and that is a shame. It makes everything more complicated.
An extended trot would definitely take you on a ride, but it's fun once you're comfortable/confident enough to relax into it. I worked at the trot for a long time before even 'graduating' to a canter so I too love the gait. :)
Impy was the perfect gentlemen for Francis. I adore him <3
