I took a few pictures with my phone of my few designs that my professor decided to have mounted and display.
Tools Used: These were all made simply with paper, an x-acto knife, and a ruler.
Objective: Create a logo on a 4x4 piece of paper, but consider what type of company the logo is designed for.
Design: After a couple weeks of doodling really pulpy, fruitful abstract shapes, I decided to incorporate that into a project. I thought this would be an appropriate design for a spa or salon because of the flowery, organic shapes.
Objective: Create a design that conveys a city on a 4x7 sheet of paper. Use only black, white, and shades of gray.
Design: I knew doing the Golden Gate Bridge was a bit ambitious, but it was simple enough to be able to get clear portrayal of a city. This was definitely my favorite to work on.
Objective 1: With 24 arrows on a 7x7 sheet of paper, convey direction.
Design: Notice that the negative space in the middle creates an arrow pointing to the opposite direction.
Objective 2: Create a two-toned image on a 6x6 sheet of paper. A design must be created on half of the sheet, while the other is the same design, except mirroring the original design in inverse colors.
Design: I love curvy, vagina-centric images, which is why I decided to use curl brackets for this.
