(no subject)
Cant believe I'm developing sucha sweet tooth lately. Just been snacking on this apple flavoured wire which I think could make a metre long. And the ppl who stay above Bos apartment must be children. I keep hearing footsteps or running steps all the time and just now there was the banging of the piano. UK houses dont use cement (they use wood) for buildings which is really annoying because alotta things (like sex and gossip) cant be kept private . No wonder they say that the walls have ears.
I cant believe the amt of work I've to do for this term. Actually I can believe it since its university but I just havent got used to having a busy schedule. I've been kinda bumming around for a year really. I mean it's just when people start contributing to lessons like theyve read tons of secondary readings and I havent evn finished my primary reading or even start to have an idea on what the poem is about, that really bothers me and triggers the little voice in my head, however insignificant and however hard I try to push it away, that I wouldnt be able to achieve what I've set for myself. ):So I decided I should stay in on a very nice sunny Saturday and I've hid as much sunlight as I could behind the curtains.
Oh yea, I made a mistake in seminar of volunteering myself to give a presentation on week7 when thats the week my assessed essay would be due as well. STUPID really.
Something about the courses I've been taking. Dark Reform: Satire in America proved to be harder than I thought. But still, its something different from British Literature. I really want to study African American Lit but they dont offer it this year. Middle English Poetry kinda a bore and chore to get through even with translation, but I like Chaucer and its a much better choice that the Old English stuff. And I found something to help me with my Renaissance Lit.
Uh huh, its the series of 'The Tudors' and in the pictures are the two hot guys (King Henry VIIIand his best friend at the bottome) and a scene of King Henry VIII in bed with Anne Boleyn, his mistress turned wife after his first wife. It's good old fashion tv by putting in nude/sex scenes (I mean really nude !) and hot guys and beautiful women to appeal to people and earn ratings and also have the benefit of learning some history! And there are also violent scenes with the chopping off of heads for death sentences and the joust being stuck into the kings eye and blood coming out of it profusely. blah blah. Farah and I watched 4 episodes in a row. =D should really download it or sth. for educational purposes.
