Hey, y'all!
So, I'm in California now.
And I'm going to be living here for the next four years.
AND IT IS AMAZING.
Tomorrow is move-in day; I'm nervous but excited.
I'm INCREDIBLY sad to leave behind certain people in Atlanta... A trio of boys who are fond of avocados, for example, and who should be good friends with each other and my best friends and maybe more. And my soulmate, who is probably the cutest girl on the planet and we could eat pomegranate ice cream and discuss narwhals and Richard P. Feynman. And my new vinyl buddy, and a gajillion other crazy kids. Thank god for Facebook/ the US Postal Service.
So, since I ain't got nothin' to say really, I'll spam you with crap from my Photobucket account and let it all speak for itself.
Me getting dressed in the parking lot at Waffle House. (Ack! There are no Waffle Houses out here!)
I drew this for the flyer for my first Avocado Party...
Me and two of the loveliest boys I know. Primero avocado buds!
I painted an avocado. (:
Also, and this is odd: so, I was briefly involved with a guy who wanted to be a dolphin, and then it turns out that my oldest girlfriend has kissed an actual dolphin, and this other friend of mine is very interested in the mechanics of people having sex with dolphins... I dunno, it seems almost inevitable that I would be weirdly fascinated by marine life. After all, my first CD was the soundtrack to a show about Shamu the killer whale. And my elementary school's mascot was a dolphin, and so on. (As I type this, my stuffed dolphin [Dauphin] and orca whale [N.P.] are sitting beside my laptop...)
Ack, my life went CRAZY right before I left. I wish I'd had more time to tie up loose ends and tell people how I felt, etc. etc. Maybe it's better this way? Distance will, perhaps, confer a measure of objectivity. (Yeah, good luck on that one.)
