VI. thrilled, adj, feeling intense pleasurable excitement
Hey, kids... Very, very good news and a little bad but not surprising news.
Bad news first: I didn't get accepted to Brown. Still, that makes my decision a little easier, because (good news now) I GOT INTO CAL!!!! zOMG it's only been my dream school since I was 14. And it's the one that my dad and stepmom are most likely to be comfortable paying the exorbitant out-of-state tuition for, as it's their alma mater. Wow. Holy crap. I seriously did not think I'd get into Berkeley, no matter what people told me. I'm so excited!!!
More good news:
I think that speaks for itself, ne? I'm a licensed driver now! And I'm already on mom's insurance, which leads me to another item of good news:
I'm driving one of my fave guys from ΦΚΤ to see West Side Story with me at the school tonight. (I saw the opening performance last night, and apart from a few technical and set change snafus, it was truly superb.)
As if life weren't going beautifully enough already, my parents and brother are leaving town at this very moment for Venice Beach, FL-- meaning I have the house to myself! (Well, except for my cat.) The girls and I don't leave until Sunday morning, which means I have two nights here, making my weekend very convenient indeed... No one to check in with. Teehee. Oh, and, yanno... SPRING BREAK '07!!!! I think we're going to have the world's most amazing time, yay.
And my final bit of happy news? The AP Art show has a name.
Hah. What goofballs we are. But everyone liked this name despite our usual bickering, so there it is.
