Another reason I'm glad to live in austin, tx

So last year about this time I was in a head-on collision. Nobody stopped, more or less everyone kept driving and staring, and the person that hit us head-on going in the wrong direction got outside of his cigarette to have a smoke. The cops didn't arrive until over an hour and a half later. This was in california. Not trying to make any grand implications, but this.

Today I was driving on 26th and Guad and I saw surbuban car veer into the side of a curb, hit a pole+ some other debri, and flip onto its upper end. The windshield was crushed but the driver couldn't get out. Immediately people came to their aid. Almost every car in front of me stopped, and most of us got out. People from all over came rushing in to help.

the ambulance, fire department, and police were there in under 4 minutes.

if anyone finds out how everything turned out, let me know.

congrats on all the good sumaritans, and hope the driver isn't seriously injured.
