A. [voice]
[ Hello People of Poly! We shall disturb your peaceful(?) daily happenings by a sudden-- ]
Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!
[ This girly scream just goes on and on and on. And then a BIG SPLASH.]
Uwaa, so cold! So cold!
B. [action]
[And Shiemi has finally gotten out of the fountain, looking quite scared and helpless as she fumbles

[Without another word, Charlie's jacket is off and she's handing it over. It'll be warmer than usual. Charlie's temperature is naturally higher than most.]
Reply
She blushes even more though when the other hands her jacket over, and now she almost looks like a ripe tomato. She's seriously really, reeeally conflicted on whether she should take it or not. After awhile--]
T-thank you, miss! But won't you be cold too...?
Reply
[Kid, why so adorable? Charlie continues to hold the jacket out, smiling slightly.] I'm fine. It's Winter. You're soaked. You need it more than I do.
Reply
[And she feels slightly better now. At the lady's kind words, Shiemi blushes even more and she now takes the jacket from her and puts it around herself, but not before bowing her head down multiple times at the lady in gratitude.]
Thank you, miss! You're really, really kind!
[And now she extends her hands out at the woman.]
I'm -- I'm Moriyama Shiemi!! What's your name?
Reply
[Charlie glances toward the fountain a moment before looking at Moriyama again.] Where were you before you fell into the fountain?
Reply
[Shiemi smiles at the kind lady, before she follows the other's gaze to the fountain and then looks down to the ground, a sad look replacing that smile.]
Well... I was in Kyoto, Japan with my friends. We were in the middle of something very important... and then for some reason I got lost and ended up falling into that fountain. Do things like that happen often here too...?
Reply
[Charlie McGee: Nice enough but her social skills are a bit problematic.]
Reply
So I can be sent home whenever? And time isn't moving at all...?
[Ah!]
You mean, when this place decides to send me back home, I'll return to that exact same moment I disappeared, back with my friends in our important mission? [She's looking at you with a really hopeful expression on her face now, Charlie.]

Wow, this was the easiest time I've had explaining that part of the City. Ever.
[There's still the matter of explaining the curses. Ffffuuuuu---]
I have to warn you, this place has a tendency to go a bit haywire. Things happen and people call them Curses. They don't last long. They're just annoying.
[And sometimes horrible. Does she have to talk about the horrible part? Because during the last curse, she was kidnapped by a damn statue]
Reply
[Shiemi smiles sheepishly when the other mentions that being the easiest time she's explained about the City, though that smile quickly disappeares when she hears about this Curses.]
Curses? What kind of curses?
Reply
[She tilts her head slightly.] Well, I've seen people Cursed to think they were related to people in the city. I've seen people turned into animals for a day. The curses never last long.
Reply
[She listens closely to Charlie's words, feeling a little surprised.]
People get turned into animals? That's scary! Do people just get cursed, even when they did nothing wrong?
Reply
The Curses are equal opportunity nuisances. They happen to anyone.
[Pause.] I found the best thing to have after a Curse is a good group of people to talk to.
[Just a bit of advice.]
Reply
[Shiemi looks a little troubled when Charlie mentions that the curse can happen to anyone. That meant it could happen to her anytime too!] I-- I see.
[And Shiemi totally gets what Charlie means. It's important to have a support group after all, that was what she learned for the past three and so months. And now, all of a sudden--]
Um, Ms. Charlie! Would you... would you please be my friend? It would be really nice to have someone to talk to... when you're cursed.
[Have a blushing, flustered Shiemi now.]
Reply
[She blinks at the question, momentarily stunned before she grins, nodding.] Absolutely!
[That was insanely adorable. She'd be a terrible person to say no.]
Reply
[Shiemi gasps in delight when Charlie agrees, and she takes the other's hand in hers and smiles happily.] Thank you so much, Ms. Charlie! I promise I'll be a good friend!
