1 Zombie [Voice]

So uh… someone around here wanna explain why I’m suddenly not in a military vehicle? ‘Cause I was just sittin’ in one of their troop transports with a bunch of people I’d just killed hundreds of zombies alongside of. I’d kinda like to be sure that I didn’t die sitting there or some bullshit like that, because that’d be really fucking lame. ( Read more... )

[...STUPID NEW PERSON, You're making her miss her Ro so bad.

...screw it. She'll lend a hand.]

Hey there. My name's April O'Neil. I'm a reporter from New York City? If you have some questions that haven't been answered yet, I could give them a shot. You have to understand, though, that a lot of information is still being kept from us, as passengers. I can give some hard facts, and then I can give you some theories.

From the Big Apple, huh? Well, thanks for the offer, April, but a few people have the basics pretty well covered for me.

Though I'd love to hear ideas as to why we're stuck in this shit hole.

Well,

[Since he seems like a big boy, she sees no reason not to give it to him straight.]

'why' according to the crew's story is to transfer us to a place called the Golden Shore. There's a rumor that our homes--our worlds--have been destroyed, and the Great Captain Redd has rescued our poor souls and is bringing us to paradise.

We aren't dead, because we can die here. We can be harmed. I don't think the Elegante is floating on the river Styx. What body of water we are on--if we're on one at all--remains unnamed.

Dismissing the 'rescued' scenario, we could be human traffic, though that wouldn't explain why people disappear. We could be entertainment. I lean towards that one, because if you don't use your communicator enough, it spits water at you and starts recording, anyways.

Or we could be in the Matrix and this is all some bullshit simulation.

I'd just like to repeat what I said to the other guy. This sounds the plot to a really bad movie. Though it might be a walk in the park after blowing away endless hordes of zombies.

It can be, though things were pretty dicey for a while, there.

Fights between passengers are common as well, though it will earn you warnings from the Captain. A kill lands you with a punishment.

What kinda punishment are we talking about, here?

Well, I only know of one instance, personally, and it was a punishment for killing a crew member.

It was Very, Very bad.

The person's torture was recorded and played for us to hear, and it was not pleasant.

Maybe that's why it was so bad.

I'll definitely keep that in mind, though.
