- Infernal device...
[The feed starts with difficulties, a bit of white noise and no image before it finally connects, showing Ikki fumbling with the device and obviously having no idea how to make it work. When it seem to him that it's working he finally leaves the object rest a bit.]Hn, seems I've figured how to make this thing work finally, now

Last thing I r'member, it was year 2001. And what's it to you, if somebody else's powers don't work? Do yours?
[He's too suspicious to admit right away that his aren't working, either.]

I asked if anyone else had noticed it. Mine are completely sealed, it's like being a normal human again.
[And it's... Frankly more annoying that he would like to admit. The inability to even scan his surroundings with his Cosmos to find other people, to see who else is there. Even something as basic as that was sealed and it made it feel as if he was deaf and blind.
Anyway he focuses on the other part.]
2001... That's the XXI century already. Definitively not where I was going.

[He is just grateful his tongue is still there, or he'd really be going crazy.]
So wait, you were... goin' somewhere before you got dumped off here?

Has this happened to you before?
I was, last I remember I was trying to follow Athena's lead towards a red nebula which should lead me to the XVIII century. If this place follows your time, I landed quite far from my objective.

[Not that his own isn't awesome. But compared to shape-shifting and time-travel, no wonder his fellow Brotherhood mutants thought he was lame.]
But no. It ain't happened to me before.

[Not really code-names, but they do count as ones and thus Ikki sees no point in arguing that.]
We don't normally have time-travel, but Chronos is the lord of time, so it's a given he can make it happen... Unless he decides to be a bastard and throw you thousands of years into the future or the past. Or sends you to the past but messes up with your body making you a child or a baby.
[As it seemed to happen to Athena.]
And I suppose you don't know of it happening to anyone else you know, right?

Yeah, talked to a scorpion-guy first day I got here, his are all not workin', too. Kept callin' it some kinda virus or somethin'. I think it's somebody else's power, or somethin' bout this place. Since nobody seems sick t'me.
[Hey, he's happy to expound his ideas, if this guy is willing to listen. The people here are all weird enough that he actually might be willing to listen.]

It's as bad as an illness anyway, even if it's not a virus. I suppose it's a combination of someone using their powers to seal ours while we're here, wherever here is.
[Well, it's not as if Todd is saying things Ikki wouldn't think of.]

[Toad Tolansky: ever the optimist.]
So you stuck in this grimy buildin', too, then? Looks like the snow's meltin', so we can go outside and whatever. Beats hangin' around here all day, even if it is cold.
[He's been back out once already today, just to get some fresh air and, you know, not go stir crazy.]

[The sneezing and coughing would be just minor additions and annoyances, nothing worth to worry until he has his Cosmos unsealed.]
Yes, exploring the area could help with learning where we are. But I don't have high expectations about the outside seeing how ruined this place is.
Reply
[Sure it'd be a (relatively) minor annoyance compared to not being able to jump or cling to walls, but that doesn't mean it's not still a good thing, right?]
Exploring could help us get freakin' warm clothes, too, [he adds in a mutter.]

Suit yourself then.
[He's not the most optimistic person in the block.]
Assuming that what we find isn't in a useless state, warm clothes would definitively be something good to have with this weather.
[He can stand cold well, normally, but with his Cosmos sealed he is getting to remember why he hated cold when he was a child.]

[Then again, when does it freeze inside of a volcano?]

Well, I guess you can keep yerself warm well enough, right? Or... you could if you had your powers. [Right. No powers for him, either. He keeps forgetting.]

I'm still capable to endure extreme temperatures better than others, but I work better with the warmer extremes. It was hard for cold weather to get where I used to live.
I hope this situation with our powers is able to be resolved soon, anyway, then I may be able to return to what I was doing.
