Honey you have just made my night even better--which is a feat in itself, I must say; I just got back from seeing the movie Cloverfield for the second time, and I really thought tonight couldn't get any better. But, no! Here you are, feeding me with this AMAZING comment. Boy, do I ever have good news for you!
What's up? Recognize me? kathybates? Owner of slash_theplan? Yeah, this was my old journal before I moved to my present username. You did read this story FOREVER ago, back when I was writing it in 2004 and before I ran the comm. Well, here's your good news:
I never touched this story in 2005. Not once. At the end of 2006 I resurrected it, though. I took all of the old chapters and cleaned them up (nothing big, no scenes added or taken away--just fixed minor things like grammar and accidental tense switches), and I reposted them to kathybates. AND I FINISHED IT. I always felt bad that it was so close to completion when I just found I didn't have the drive for it anymore, so I fixed it back up. The entire thing (in its newer, better state) can be found right here in my memories. Enjoy finally finding out what happens!
And, I can't just let this go without touching on how great you made me feel with that compliment on m writing style. It means a lot to me, because I consciously do notice when other writers do that sort of thing, and I try to steer clear of it. I prefer to write only what is necessary and nothing more, and I'm very happy to see that my work doesn't go unnoticed.
Thank you once again for this amazing comment and for your dedication to this story. I'm more than pleased to be able to give you the rest of it :)

Can I be honest?
I read the following: "AND I FINISHED IT."
I cried.
Tears of joy.
I will say more once I read the final chapter. But now:
I WANT TO BUY YOU A COTTON-CANDY FLAVORED TRAMPOLINE.
You seriously just made my day. I can't even explain it.
Until the end of the story,
Hayley
