A/n: Note, this is an AU story set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've been there, I've been to the actual Citizen's Bank Park and all that stuff, I was even at the park when I thought of this whole story. I'm just giving fair warning and explaining where they are. Now, onto the story.

BOFBAB :: 01

David and I ran down the sidewalk, clumsily weaving in and out of the mass crowd headed for Citizen's Bank Park. I dodged a seven-year-old with a Phillies cap on backwards and missed seeing David halt at an intersection. I ran into him and almost brought the both of use down onto the street; thankfully, he managed to straighten himself and help me catch my balance.

"I told you, Seb, I don't swing your way," he said jokingly and patted my shoulder.

I glanced at the rest of the people on the corner looking at us laugh and leaned over his shoulder so that I could whisper into his ear, "You just haven't tried the new playground yet."

David pointed a look at me and refused to blink until after a moment's silence, he spoke. "Roar, Sebastien. Roar." That said, he shook his shoulder as I laughed and stepped over to stand next to him while we waited for the traffic cop to signal us across the street.

We walked up along with all of the families attending that day's game. They all seemed so cheery and happy and like they'd never seen anything like it. I suppose I did too my first time here, then again, I've been to every home game this season. I must say, the new stadium is great. David's dad is basically loaded and some high-and-mighty guy with Citizen's Bank while my dad heads the security team used for the place. Between the two of them, David and I are branded with all access faces and can get away with anything here. Not a bad way to spend summer, really.

"Dude," David slapped his hand on my shoulder, bringing me out of my daze of looking through the crowd, "hurry up, I want to see the first pitch." He began tugging on my arm.

I laughed and walked with him, gliding through the crowd of people heading off to the left entrance doors as we made our way to the Hall of Fame entrance. A family of three walked in ahead of us and we coasted up easily, no one was behind us; the Hall of Fame section isn't as big and slightly less busy at times. We walked through the door and immediately, the air conditioning was the first thing we noticed as we walked to the ticket teller, Winsey.

She looked over at us and smiled as David went to hug her. "Hey, boys, here again?"

"You know it, Love," David flashed his teeth as I hugged her and laughed. He went to step through the door counter but was stopped when Winsey pushed him back.

"You wouldn't happen to have a ticket, would you?"

I dropped my jaw and scoffed, "Winsey, you know the deal." I wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "We never have tickets, and you always let us through anyway..."

"Because we are special and immune to the punishments of having no tickets," David finished.

She sighed and shook her head. "And you both know I don't like doing that. What am I getting out of this?" She looked at me.

"Well, I'll give you a kiss to let us pass," David said with a hopeful look.

Winsey laughed, "What makes you think a kiss from you would work?"

David laughed and leaned in, "It's got to be a kiss from me since our Sebastien doesn't kiss girls."

I laughed at the look Winsey gave me after David had said that. She stepped back and smiled, "Sebastien, that's so cute." She grinned and looked at David.

"What the fuck, that look scares me," David said and scaled Winsey. "What are you thinking?"

She looked at me, "Kiss him."

I raised my eyebrows and gave her a look. Kiss David? Really now, I'm gay, that's true and known, but honestly. I looked at David and I think his expression was about the same as mine: confused and shocked.

I sighed, "Is that all that'll get us into the stadium today?"

"You are aware that I'm straight, right?" David added on.

Winsey shook her head and sighed, "You have a gay friend, you are open-minded and an excepting person so you will not mind kissing him in order to get into the park today."

I turned my head and looked at David with his long black hair hanging in front of his eyes, still holding a disbelieving look. He wasn't unattractive, I'll give him that. I sighed, shaking my head. I can't believe I'm doing this.

"David."

His head turned, "Yea-" He didn't get to finish his sentence as I put my hand on the back of his head and pulled his face closer to mine. The muscles on the back of his neck tensed when I kissed him and I pulled back quickly after. I looked at Winsey and she had a kind of almighty smile on her face as she shrugged her shoulders and said she'd allow us to pass through.

I walked past her and turned around, waiting for David to push himself through the counter. He glared at Winsey, "I hope you're happy now."

She nodded and spoke cheerily, "Yes, yes I am. Enjoy the game, boys."

"Who watches the game?" I looked at her disbelievingly. "We just run around and wreak havoc." I winked and turned around, about to walk away with David when I felt a sharp pain in my ass and turned around to see Winsey wink back at me.

I took another bite of my pretzel and leaned back against the wall. I squinted my eyes, despite sitting in the shade, the sunlight was still pretty strong and I pulled my legs up to my chest as I watched David board over the roof. It amuses me to no end with what we can get away with doing here.

He popped up on his board and his hair fell into his face. I'll admit, I liked his hair. He's been growing it and, while I'll admit that it's different, it really does look okay right now; it's just long enough to cover his eyes. He has nice eyes; really light brown eyes.

If I said now that I thought he was really good looking, it wouldn't exactly be a surprise. Anyone could think he's good looking. If I were to say that I harbored something of a crush for him, that might be a little more of a shock. It's nothing really, just a crush; not like it's going to take over me or anything; I can control it. I think it's just that since I happen to think he's good looking and I know we get along, my mind automatically puts him in the category of kids that I might ever have a chance with. Given also the assumption that they're gay. Which David is not.

"Get over here!" I called out to him as he seemed to get farther away, closer to the other end of the small area we were. It was the rooftop, granted, but it was only the roof of the second floor, and only a part of it. It was cut off but restaurants and the rest of the foundation holding up the other levels of the stadium. We actually had no entrance here, we hopped the four-and-a-half-foot wall that stood near a set of restrooms just near the bull pen.

He didn't seem to hear me and I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. I called out louder, "Your chicken will get cold if you wait any longer!" He heard me this time and continued to skate around, his attempt to piss me off.

"What have we here?" My head snapped up at haring one of two girls whose heads popped over the wall. I guess they heard me yelling. I stood up and dusted off my back, swallowing the rest of my pretzel.

"Hi," I said and turned around to see David riding over now. I suppose he noticed the girls. "Took you long enough," I said as he came over.

"What're you doing over here?" One of them, the shorter of the two, asked us.

David coughed, "Well, we're coming over, now." With that said, he and I lifted our food and rested it atop the wall before backing up to hop over the barrier. We got down and I saw that the girls were the kind that really might have come to the game for more reasons than to watch. My main clue being the miniskirts and the fact that neither one had a symbol of team preference. I never liked miniskirts much... then again, I've gotten over girls all together so why would I really care to see one in a miniskirt?

The sun was really bright over here. No longer in the shade of the wall, I had to squint my eyes and wish that I had a pair of sunglasses. One of the girls had on rather oversized yellow ones. That's two things she's wearing that I don't care for. The other girl was holding something that actually caught my attention in a good way: ice cream in an upside-down plastic Phillies cap.

"We were just goofing off," I said and shrugged. We had a small bit of random conversation, one point of which ended up causing the girl with the sunglasses to push the girl with the ice cream. The ice cream that she had not finished and had proceeded to melt. She was set off balance and toward me. She caught herself and straightened up but wasn't quick enough to save me from her melted ice cream slipping out of the cap and onto my shirt. And the bottom of my shorts too. Wonderful.

The two girls seemed more embarrassed than anything and all David did was laugh. The fact that they found it so terrible and he found it so humorous made me laugh as well. I looked around, wanting to get this off of me and fast. There were no napkins so I did the next thing I could figure to do before I ended up with a permanent chocolate ice cream stain on my shorts (so, I like my shorts); I took off my shirt and proceeded to wipe at the my shorts with it.

The girls continued to apologize and I sighed, "No, it's okay, really." I looked over at David, still laughing and shook my head, grabbing his shirt collar. "Come on, I think maybe I should use water." That said, I pulled David away and into the bathroom after we'd said goodbye to the girls.

David came into the bathroom with me and I pulled myself up onto the counter next to a sink. Swallowing his laughter, "Seb, you're such an ass."

I dapped at my shorts with my wet T-shirt. "What are you talking about?" I asked, not differing from my task.

"You did that on purpose," he said and pointed to my hand as I ran the shirt under the faucet. "You just had to take off your shirt?"

I raised a defensive tone, "Hey, she spilled her ice cream on me. I need some way to clean my shorts and I can just buy a jersey at the stand." I said this and hopped down, pleased with the work I'd done on my shorts and I held up my shirt. I sighed at the thought that it was basically ruined.

"Besides," I added and started to walk for the door, "why would I care that they see me without my shirt?" I opened the door and stepped outside. "I think I might get more out of it if I had two guys see me without my shirt."

"Give it up," David said and patted my shoulder; "you just want me to see you shirtless."

I nodded, "Damn right." Saying this, I grabbed the back of his head for the second time today and pulled him closer to me. I kissed him briefly on the mouth and then let him go, laughing at seeing that he had a solid glare on his face and was showing no real emotion.

"Let's go, man. I want to get a new shirt then we can got back into the Hall, yeah?" I started to walk away, only just then noticing the two girls from before standing just off in the corner.

He nodded and rubbed the back of his neck, looking up at the scoreboard. "Sure, it's the bottom of the sixth anyway."

We went to walk down to the nearest memorabilia stand, just passing the girls. The one who had the ice cream, whose eyes I could see, had a raised eyebrow. David didn't seem to notice them at all as he turned to look down on the field as we passed and I winked at her. He eyes rolled over us before she turned to her friend.
