wow, hard work most definately pays off. Ever since I added weight lifting to my workouts everything has changed!! Before I mainly stuck to the treadmill, or stationary bike, and I lost weight from it, but then my body got used to it, and I plateaued, and stopped losing weight. I need a change in my routine, so I added more weight lifting, and I'm no longer plateaued. In fast the past three weeks, I've lost weight regularly, and I'm starting to see muscles I NEVER knew I had!!! The other day I realized that i could finally see my collarbones which was a huge success! I started slow, but just the other day i increased the amount of weight I lifted. It's been a challenge, but the rewards make that challenge so much better. I can finally see the muscle in my arms, and my legs are beginning to get in shape...(thank god...I work those babies hard!!!!) My stomach is finally flat, so I'm not working hard to tone up.....overall things are going GREAT, and I'm so glad I still haven't given up. The other day a friend emailed me to tell me that they were going through old pictures from middle school, and high school, and I didn't even look the same at all!!! I didn't believe here, so I started going through my old pictures and comparing them, and she was right!! I have one picture of myself and a few friends from our American Government class when i was a junior in high school, and I could hardly recognize my face......it was soooooo fat. Even my senior pictures were HORRIBLE.....a few in particular where I was wearing my homecoming dress. My mom should have shot me when I had the idea to take pictures in that thing. It was really weird to see all of these pictures.
Seeing all of these pictures, plus see a few friends' weightloss websites, motivated me to make a website too, which is exactly what I did, well at least I'm currently in the process of doing. The webpage consists of a journal, comparison pictures, links to my friend's pages, my fitness informatio and the workouts I do, my goals, and FAQ's that I get about my weightloss. It was a good idea, and it keeps me in check every time I feel the need to binge, or don't have the motivation to work out. I can tell it's only gonna be a good thing though! My weightloss has always been a pretty personal subject, and although it's a good thing that I have come so far, it's still something that's hard to just put out there. So the website is still private, but as I get closer to my goal, and am comfortable enough to share my starting weight, and stats, and HORRIBLE pictures, I'll release the URL!!!!
But with all of this said, it's time to lift some weights and get an awesome upper body workout!!!
