what a day!
I had the most enjoyable day today. It has been such a long time since I have been able to relax enough to truly enjoy the simplest things in life and today was one of those days.
We had our17 month old grandson at our house all day today. We babysit every Thursday and Sunday so his parents do not have to pay for daycare. Anyway, he was so happy today and the littlest things, like seeing a baby bunny well not exactly a baby but small,and ohhh my all the airplanes and trains made him giggle and smile. Laying in the hammock and swinging brought so much joy to him. looking in the bushes for the birds that he could hear, playing hide and go seek, and the best part of the day was this afternoon after having a nummy lunch at Culvers, getting to play in his new pool, and splash water all over Nana and the dog and the driveway, and patio. I had forgotten how much fun a bucket of water can be. And the pure joy it gave him to fill the bucket and walk it over to the steps walk up the steps, dump the water on the porch and do it all over again and again and again. And laugh each time he did it. The dog however was not real fond of the water and found a good place to hide where she could still be close enough to him to protect him but yet not get too wet.
Anyway, I guess the point I am trying to make in all this rambling is that life truely is good, if we take the time to notice small things . I hope all of you had a good day also.
