dude, I'm totally crying here! I loved your story like you wouldn't believe. This was unbelievably good. :) I loved the character voices, the imagery, I could feel Sam's frustration and despair. Wonderful storytelling.

I can't tell you how much I love this. It was heartbreaking. I hate to think John would handle Sam like that but I can actually see it, him being at the end of his wisdom. Excellent writing.

Thank you, I really appreciate your telling me that. John is a tough character, there's so much to love and to not love about him, he's very complex. I personally think he's regretting the whole training thing right about now. : D

Absolutely. He's a very interesting character. There were times I just wanted to hug canon!John and others where I really felt like smacking him one. Overall I like him, despite (or because of?) all his flaws, but right now I want to kick him good. :)

This story just won't leave me alone, I keep coming back to it, so I'll join the club of those who'd love to read a sequel dealing with the aftermath of this. Pretty please?

Wow. This was incredibly powerful. Poor Sam. The despair, and John not caring. Like Sammy said, he'd stopped being his father, forgotten that Sam's still a child. And Dean trying to help, but just making things worse by enjoying all the training so much.
And the whole setting was just so vivid. I'm stunned. Thanks

Stunned? Wow, that's really incredible to hear that the story got a reaction like that. I enjoyed writing it, and now doubly so.

John and Sam are so much alike, I figure, that they'll never really come to terms with each other. It's always what you don't like in yourself that you don't like when you see it in another person. Hence, all the fighting!
