Well, what a weekend it has turned out to be. After church on Sunday, I walked dogs with Brigida. She is housesitting and needed to walk the dogs. So we called Sarah to see if she wanted to join us. We didn't get ahold of her so we left a message for her to call, because we were also going to hang out Monday.
Well, I left Brig after we walked the dogs (man were they dumb dogs too! ugly small scottie dogs) and went to Sallyanne's bridal shower. Well, shortly after Janet got there she tells me that I need to call Brigida and its urgent. I need to do it immediately after the shower, and I definately need to talk to her before tomorrow. So, I'm weirded out a little, but okay whatever... so after the shower, which turned out really nice, I called Brig... but she was already at work, so I left a message for her to call when she could. I then asked Janet if she could tell me what was so urgent. So she pulls me into the kitchen and is like, "Well, Sarah called Brig back. She told her that she's getting married at the courthouse on Tuesday." Mind you, its already Sunday. So we're talking 48 hours away. I'm sure my mouth dropped to my feet. As well as my heart.
So, Monday come around and Brig and I venture to Costco because two of the glass pieces for the sconces mom bought me were broken. We got ahold of Sarah and decided to go to lunch. Brig gets a discount at the Olive Garden (Yeah!). So, we talk to Sarah about whats going on. Basically this is it: Andrew's parents and sister are going to creation fest this weekend. They told Andrew and Sarah that they didn't want them to be at the house alone unless they were married. Sarah and Andrew took that as we want you to get married before this weekend so you can be in the house. So, they got married yesterday around 5pm at the Clark County Courthouse by Judge Zimmerman. I couldn't go because we had a baseball game to go to. I really wish I could have gotten out of it. Your best friend only gets married once (hopefully). Anyway, while we talked to Sarah Monday she told us that they still want to have a wedding ceremony, but are waiting until they could afford a nice one. Which seems kinda pointless to me, but whatever... They just love each other and want to be together... and they couldn't wait 4 months I guess. We even asked if it was about sex, and she said no, that there was pressure there because of that, but that wasn't the reason. So, Sarah is married now. It makes me really sad to have not been able to be there. I don't know how she feels about it, but I fill always feel badly about that. Not that I could have done anything to have been able to go. Shane's dad spent $180 for the tickets we had (total of 4) and two of them were already wasted because his dad and carol did go, and Stacy and Jerry got sick the night before. So, while Sarah got married, I became a crisp in the sun. My arms and neck hurt so bad, although it looks like it will turn into a nice tan... to bad its not on my legs!!!
Well, thats my news. Oh yeah, the best/worst part of Sarah getting married... they're going to live at Andrews parents until they can afford to move out, after they afford a big wedding ceremony. Crazy if you ask me!
Well, love to you all!
