Quick Fandom recap:

- Skyward Sword: Loved how long it was, there's plenty to do, and the gameplay was great. Animation sucked (though it grew on me the deeper into the game I got), and the story -- where extensive -- was just not up to par after Twilight Princess. My final thoughts continue to be that I'm pretty sure they just made a 25th Anniversary game for the sake of the 25th Anniversary, and skimped on making it the untouchable epic that it could have been. (Doesn't everyone have high standards for Zelda games??) Though I guess, let's be honest, it was doomed to be a tough-y (/let down) after Twilight Princess. Talk about a difficult act to follow.

- I am NOT caught up on Sherlock. I'm in the middle of Series 2. In my defense, I've watched Series 1 three times. I love it I love it I love it! The writing is BRILLIANT, and the casting is PHENOMENAL. I could watch Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman ALL DAY. Not to mention that theme song -- gets me every time. And I've only guessed like two cases.

- ALSO NOT CAUGHT UP on Doctor Who. I've finished David Tennant, and seen a few episodes of the first season of the 11th Doctor. I really like Matt Smith, I think he's a great Doctor. I know a lot of the fan base thinks he's the best, but I abide that he couldn't be the Doctor he is without David Tennant having totally brought it with his adaptation (which evolved SO WELL after the 9th!).

- I loved The Hobbit. The design was breath-taking. I was sold simply from that; the color in that film is unreal. I wasn't too stoked on the frame-rate, considering all the battles. I agree with critics on that score only; the fight scenes were over-bearing. But I'm sick of people complaining about it "not being Lord of the Rings" and "why make it three movies??" because (a)it isn't LotR, and (b)though I don't see the impetus in making 3 movies (aside from box office revenue), the fact is what's done is done, so why not actually talk about THE MOVIE. (/minirant) Anyway, I was blown away, and LOVED Martin Freeman as Bilbo. The dwarves were great because I didn't feel obligated to get to know EACH ONE, as I was worried they'd do. I appreciated that they each had personality, though. From a special effects perspective, the makeup and costuming was flawless. Creature creation, however, was want to be desired. Honestly, the White Orc was lame, and I wish the Goblin King was less CGI-heavy.
The Bilbo-Gollum scene was RIVETING.
I cannot wait 'til Smaug (no, not just for Benedict Cumberbatch).

In other news, I'm trying to remember all the fandom/Internet terms -- I can barely understand what I was writing back when I was in the thick of it, after having gone through old posts.
