~ I Guess My Wish Knew Better Than I Did~
Ok, so I started my job today. I only have three hours left. My boss left just a min ago for yet another meeting to let me sit here and silently freak out in my head at all the work that needs to be accomplished before the 29th when it gets into full swing until the end of MAy. God, I just need to hang in until then. After that I have the whole summer to plan and program for next yr. I can not believe how in the you kn ow what I got this job. I think this is going to be a very interesting job. It is the number 3 rated poverty stricken town in CA. Over 60% of children here are living under the poverty line. Can you believe that?! So that's great for my bleeding heart liberal part lol. She took me out to lunch and told me not to freak out and that she won't let me fail. I laughed. She also told me that she wants me to take it easy this wk bc she doesn't want me going home and telling my mom I'm never coming back. She said she'd cry lol! I told her not to worry about that. I am the baby of the group, but there are some 30 somethings here so yeah. Can you believe it? A seriously professional job. I did have to drive all the way from Woodlake today though so I had to be up at 5:45am. That REALLY sucks. Takes an hr for commute. I talked to Cliff this morning while driving here. He is very sweet. He brought me some orchids this weekend. So much to do, so little time. So much to write too. I will tell you about this last weekend later. Sacto, yeah.
