My kids can be so difficult, but there are often times when I am so shocked by how sweet and innocent they are!
Last night on the way home (it was dark), my 3 year old told me he was scared (I drive a big Suburban and he has his car seat in one of the back Captain's Chairs). He said he'd seen something black in the sky. I told him it was probably a bat, to which my oldest, 5, exclaimed, "Whaaa? Bats are REAL?!!"
I was a little taken back for a minute and couldnt help grinning. I replied, "well of course they are real!" and then went into an explanation of bats; that they are small and eat bugs, etc. My oldest again exclaimed, this time with relief, "So they don't eat people?"
Haha! I really don't know what has gotten in these kids. My husband and I are very traditional parents so our children are not allowed to watch anything above PG (most of the time just G because sadly even PG now a days can be horrible) and can't play violent games, etc. Maybe the few times they watched the newer Scooby Doo (before I decided that it was too scary for them)?
Made my week though!
