Feliciano is frantic after the text from Antonio. He drops the bundle of herbs he'd been holding to the floor as he frantically texts back, debating if he should call or if that would put him into hysterics in the middle of the grocery store.
His fratellone was missing, phone was probably in the bottom of a lake or crushed under a tire or something and worst of all it was all most likely the mafia's doing. He had to swallow down the tears and bile at the thoughts of his own kidnapping in the hands of the mafia around a year prior, shakily assuring Antonio he'd try and reach someone.
When the call to Nico doesn't work either though his throat closes up. Panicking by now he leaves the cart half full of groceries, all stuff to make a nice family dinner for when Romano came back from sulking because of fireworks, and bolts out to the car.
Georgio is probably on vacation with his own family, far away from the responsibilities of the mafia when he could be for his daughters birthday.
Maria was too kind hearted and broke far to easily under her brother's questioning gaze.
The short list dimished quickly and the only one left he could think of was the head honcho himself.
Roma.
The cherry red Ferarri skids to a halt at the corner to let small children and their mothers by as they head towards the park. No flirting with the babysitters mingling with the group, no happy smiles. He texts Antonio back quickly and, once the last little leg is on the other sidewalk, he speeds off. His knuckles are white as he grips the steering wheel, skidding around another corner, hating that he went to the good market all the way across town.
When his phone rings he snatches it up and presses it to his ear.
"C-Ciao, Toni."
