this was the best weekend with the best boys. they got here late thursday night and it seemed like the time was never going to pass. but he knocked at the door at a quarter to midnight and when i let him in we were kind of all shy like we didn't know how to act. kevin cooked us pancakes friday morning and after jill came over, we spent the afternoon perusing record stores. we baked all day and needless to say, it was a disaster for me, but this time it actually turned out well in the end. jenny, alyssa, and jenn came down so it was a nice group of mc students, past and present. friday night reminded me of what i miss the most . . . lying next to each other on the floor and whispering before we fall asleep. it's those moments that make all the distance, all the separation bareable. saturday they went to a wedding and then we went out to camp so i could speak and he rode with me the whole way. i think it's the first time i've drove when we've been together in the last three months. my family took us to monical's and i took the boys to the waterfall. all three of us watched the Doors movie piled in my bed, but i kept fading in and out of sleep. he and i woke up at 6:30 sunday morning and talked in each others arms. and before they left at 10 am, it seemed like these miles, these next two months are gonna go so so fast.
