Summary: Donna and the Doctor experience their first day of school.

Notes/Warning: Word count: 302 ! Response to Weekly Drabble Challenge # 7 at doctor_donna. I had a tad bit of trouble with this prompt…my muse left me but here’s what I came up with. It turned out longer than I wanted but let’s roll with it! Oh…its very fluffalicious too!
It was their daughter’s first day of preschool. Donna had insisted on their child being educated on Earth like, in her words, a “normal” child. But this little girl, half-human and half-Time Lord, was anything but normal.
While her parents, mostly Donna, had been a nervous wreck, four-year-old Dana had been excited earlier that morning about going to school and had bravely entered the classroom after a quick goodbye kiss from her Mummy and Daddy. From what her mother had told her, school would be fun and she would make new friends. Her parents could only hope that their little girl’s day went well.
“Mummy! Daddy! Look! Look what I made!” called Dana as she ran to Donna and the Doctor who were standing impatiently with the other parents waiting for their children. The little girl jumped into her mother’s arms, giving her a big hug.
“Look, I made a picture” she said and handed the Doctor the paper she was holding in her tiny hand.
Drawn on the sheet were three stick-like figures. One was tall and had what looked like spiky brown hair. The other two had similar red hair. A big blue box stood in the background.
“See, it’s us! That’s you, Daddy, with your crazy hair.”
“She’s got you down perfectly,” Donna said laughing. “Not only the hair, but she really captured your skinniness. Just like a stick!” The Doctor chuckled along with her. Dana continued speaking.
“And that’s Mummy. Doesn’t she look pretty?”
“Yes, she does” replied the Doctor, now staring, not at the picture, but at the real Donna beside him holding their daughter.
“And that’s me between you two,” Dana said proudly. She hugged her mother again. Tears threatened to spill from Donna’s eyes.
“Like it Mummy?” asked Dana.
“It’s beautiful. Our first family portrait.”
A/N 2: Yea so i named her Dana...i like the sound of Dana and Donna together..plus it has a "D" like both D/D =P
