Writing Proposition & Foul Mouthed Family Getogethers

My favorite cousin, Chris, came to visit from Singapore. I love Chris. We sit around and geek out about our favorite tv shows. It amuses me greatly that my parents and I have built a reputation with him about our choices in shows to the point that he now writes down all the shows we tell him about so doesn't forget any. How cool is that. But it is mutual. We got him hooked on Justified, Life, and Castle. He got us hooked on Deadwood. I call that about even.

Speaking of Deadwood, I finally got to tell someone about Mom's line. She'd kill me if I told any of the other family members but, Chris I knew would appreciate it (and he did). We'd been watching four Deadwoods in a row and eating Logan's Roadhouse take out and were about to start up episode five. Deadwood has a lot of cussing in it to the point where I come back from getting a drink refill to here my mom say this: "I'm eating a fucking roll with some fucking butter." I died laughing it took a good ten minutes to recover from that. She'd been waiting for me to come back in the room to spring that on me.

Chris also sprung a business idea on me. He and his lovely wife have built a game that teaches you coding. He wants me to write a book about a boy plays the game and how it changes his life. I have issues with this. I have faith in their game. That's not issue. I'm just not sure if this is a story I want to write. Chris has a basic outline, but I would need to build characters and all the other plot points. Oh yeah, and write it all as well. I'm just not sure. But I'm not hating the idea as much as I did when he first mentioned it. I think if I could just concentrate on the story I'm writing now and hold off on his for a month or two. I might be able to make it work (and even like the story I'm writing).
