My review of New Moon is going to be short because I'm on 3 hours of sleep and haven't gotten coffee yet.
It was good. New Moon is my least favorite of the series, but I think the movie made me like it more. The movie was better than the Twilight movie, by far. Rob's pained expressions through the entire movie were shattering, but not obnoxious (ok, maybe I rolled my eyes once due to the cheesiness of it). And oh my god, Kristen Stewart can act? As Bella in Twilight, I first loved her and then after seeing the movie a few times, she started to grate on my nerves. She was perfect in this movie, I think. She plays tortured very well. Taylor Lautner's nose and teeth still bug me, but it was clear I was one of only a few who wasn't swooning over him in the theater. Where Rob was the main target of teenage lust during the last movie, he was barely noticed in this one, it seems. Taylor was the hot item this time around. Maybe it's because I'm 10 years older than him, but I just don't see it. He's cute - don't get me wrong. But definitely doesn't give me funny feelings or anything. LOL
And here's the shocker. I cried. Quite more than I thought I would, actually. I cried when Edward left. I cried when she was screaming in the night. I cried when Alice came back. I cried when they were in Italy. I cried when they brought the tourists in to be lunch. Hormones or lack of sleep, I'm not sure - but I think if I saw it again, I'd probably still cry. But don't quote me on that.
The fight scene in Volterra was amazing. Better than I expected from the previews. I like that it was added in - though it wasn't in the book. It was nice. Does that mean that whoever does Breaking Dawn might actually make some more tension at the end? Not just sunshine and rainbows like it could come across.
I think that pretty much covers it. The movie was better than the first one so if you didn't like the first one, I suggest giving this one a shot. If I think of more to write, I'll come back :)
SOMETHING I FORGOT TO MENTION!!!!!! Rob's accent? MUCH better in this one. Not once did he channel some mob boss. LMAO!
