Three things you need to know
1) Yesterday was my birthday!
Because last year's birthday rocked so much, this one felt very low-key, but still was a good time. I hadn't really told anyone at TAI about it, so when they found out they sang the best arrangement of "Happy Birthday" I'd ever heard, and joined in Kimberly's birthday dance. That was amusing. My family and I went to dinner and had an AWESOME german chocolate cake at home, and opened presents and stuff. Besides my mom promising me a shopping spree this weekend, I got some books for TAI, some good old-fashioned cash, some jewlery, my favorite socks (this is BIG), a really awesome repair kit-thing, a cute purse, some makeup, and a black blazer that is to DIE for. Plus, Nic called and left this mysterious message saying that I had to be available on a certain day in August to get my present. I'm intrigued.
2) My grandpa is in the hospital.
He's subject to psychotic depression, which is a very frightening thing. I don't really know too much about thwta's ging on, but it's serious enough for him to come all the way down here to be treated. Send good thoughts that way.
3) A grad student asked me out today.
Rock on.
